I am asking all voting Americans to contact your Senators and demand that they not vote in favor of this legislation, “S.1867 - Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012″.  As much as I despise  the ACLU, they are right on this issue and we must not stand for this latest assault on the American Public.  You take the DHS publication on Extremism, and couple it with this legislation and  you will see that the forces inside the Federal Government that want to put us all in jail are still at work and is alive and well.  This could be the final shot across our bow that seals our fate.  If this language is left in this legislation and passes both the House and Senate and is signed into law, (which I have no doubt the current occupier of the WH will do) the great experiment called Democracy, that our Founding Fathers established, will be dead.  This is not an exaggeration or doom and gloom stuff.  If you don’t think so, you’re simply ignorant or not paying attention.  In either case, we’re all in trouble.    Click here and here for the details.

There is another issue with this legislation because it also covers the Tri-Care medical program that military retirees use.  It states;

SEC. 701. ANNUAL COST-OF-LIVING ADJUSTMENT IN ENROLLMENT FEES IN TRICARE PRIME.

(a) In General- Section 1097a of title 10, United States Code, is amended–

(1) by redesignating subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f) as subsections (d), (e), (f), and (g), respectively; and

(2) by inserting after subsection (b) the following new subsection (c):

`(c) Cost-of-living Adjustment in Enrollment Fee- (1) Whenever after September 30, 2012, the Secretary of Defense increases the retired pay of members and former members of the armed forces pursuant to section 1401a of this title, the Secretary shall increase the amount of the fee payable for enrollment in TRICARE Prime by an amount equal to the percentage of such fee payable on the day before the date of the increase of such fee that is equal to the percentage increase in such retired pay. In determining the amount of the increase in such retired pay for purposes of this subsection, the Secretary shall use the amount computed pursuant to section 1401a(b)(2) of this title. The increase in such fee shall be effective as of January 1 following the date of the increase in such retired pay.

`(2) The Secretary shall publish in the Federal Register the amount of the fee payable for enrollment in TRICARE Prime whenever increased pursuant to this subsection.’.

So what it saying is, if retirees get a COLA increase in their retirement checks,they will use Tri-Care to get it back…… This is the kind of back door, back stabbing legislation we Vets and Americans are sick of.  Those in congress who push this type of legislation must be voted out of office as we reform our REPRESENTATIVE form of government.

I am writing as your constituent in the 3rd Congressional district of Washington. I oppose S.1867 – Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, and am tracking it using OpenCongress.org, the free public resource website for government transparency and accountability. This legislation is a direct assault on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and if you vote in favor of this Bill in its present form, you will be in violation of your oath of office and that will not go unnoticed. As Benjamin Franklin said on Feb 17th, 1775, “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” This struggle we find ourselves in now is not to be used as justification to tear our democracy asunder. We citizens are relying on you to protect our inviolate foundational tenets and GOD GIVEN RIGHTS. We demand you do so or you will most definitely find yourself voted out of office come your next election cycle. As this letter is being sent to all three of my Representatives in Congress, this legislation will not go before the House unless the Senate gives it an up vote. If it is passed in the Senate and goes to the House, my Representative in the House will be held to the same standard as my Senators. Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) introduced the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 on May 5, 2011.  This legislation was passed by the Senate Armed Services Committee by a vote of 26-0 on November 15, 2011.  The National Defense Authorization Act is enacted each fiscal year to specify the budget and expenditures of the U.S. Department of Defense.  The National Defense Authorization Act for 2012 includes numerous provisions that relate to the treatment of terrorism detainees.  One such provision requires that any detainee caught on U.S. soil must be remanded to the U.S. military for custody.  This provision is strongly opposed by the White House and the Department of Defense; both entities have stated that it will limit current options available to our counter-terrorism officials. However, the legislation also allows the Administration to waive the mandatory custody requirement.  The bill also provides for an exemption for any mandatory custody transfer that would interfere with ongoing civilian law enforcement surveillance or interrogation efforts.  Please be assured that I will keep your thoughts should I have the opportunity to vote on these or similar provisions. I am profoundly grateful for the service of our brave men and women in the armed services and for the sacrifices they have made to defend and preserve our great nation.  As such, we have an important responsibility to ensure that they have the tools and resources they need to successfully complete their mission and return home safe.  Please be assured that I will continue to work with my colleagues on behalf of the many soldiers in the state of Washington.

My Letter to Tim Probst;

I am writing you to let you know my feelings on the temporary sales tax increase being proposed by the Governor.  To articulate my feeling very succinctly, you need to know that I find it especially egregious that the only solution the Democrats can come up with to help solve our state budgetary problems is to raise taxes.  I say this knowingly full well that there are better ways of raising revenue and lowering the state deficit than taxing the people of this state when they can ill afford any more money out of their already strained budgets.  I find it especially obscene when there is legislation sitting on the table there in the Legislature that would go a long ways in reducing the deficit and that is HR 2044. If you have examined the fiscal notes on this HR, you should have been able to see the huge amount of revenue this HR would provide to the state, yet it sits on the table, simply because of protectionist politics.  I am extremely saddened and disappointed knowing that the Democrats are putting party politics and personal ambitions ahead of doing what is right for the state.  We citizens that your party wants to tax to death, are also voters and we are very well informed. We are watching every move our State and Federal Representatives make and we watch and track the voting record of each and every one.  I can assure you, this situation of which I write, is right on top of my watch-list and I doubt that I am the only one watching.  I can assure you that if the Governor gets a wink and a nod from the Legislature on this, those people will be putting their political career in peril and in-turn will be challenged come their next election cycle.  I am urging you to do the right thing for the state and get this HR moving.  Protecting the Tribal Indian casinos will not be tolerated and you will lose my support at the polls if you do so.  In fact I will work tirelessly for your opponent in the race for the seat you now occupy.

SHOULD WASHINGTONIANS RECALL SENATOR PATTY MURRAY?

PATTY MURRAY - SHE DOES NOT DESERVE RE-ELECTION... RECALL? Hmmmm

This is a classic example why Senator Patty Murray (D-Wa) and for that matter Senator Maria Cantwell must be shown the door come their next election cycles.  Cantwell in ’12 and unfortunately Murray in ’16.  This article articulates pretty well I think, of her inability to get out of the Democrat party line and agenda and do what is truly right for the country, rather than her party.  In all the replies I have gotten from both of these people on the various issues, I have NEVER gotten anything that even remotely hinted at compromise or deviation from the Democrat party line and agenda.  As demonstrated by all my letters posted in this forum, she fails to directly address any of my specified concerns.  She is totally consumed by her passion to push the corrupt Democrat/Liberal/Progressive agenda, regardless of the horrible consequences the nation and you and me will suffer. After all, she votes with the Dem party 91% of the time and most often in agreement with Al Franken. Al Frankin?!?!  What?!  This guy is a corrupt hack at best and she agrees with him?!?  WOW!!  Plus, I find her actions especially repugnant and egregious knowing that she is on the Committee on the Budget, Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Appropriations Committee: Within the Appropriations Committee, Senator Murray is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies.   Murray also serves on the following subcommittees; Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee, Defense Subcommittee, Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee and the Homeland Security Subcommittee, plus she is on the “Super Committee” that is responsible for coming up with the “magic bullet” that will fix the budget deficit.  It is especially scary for us vets because as I indicated in letters to her that she is in a prime position to protect the benefits that us vets and retirees sacrificed so long for, but conversely, she is in a prime position to really screw us.  And unfortunately I am afraid that the latter, not the former, will be the case.  She has not been bold enough to indicate to me, or I dare say, any either vet or retiree, that she will do every thing she can to protect us.  She is sickeningly quiet on the issue.  That is not a good sign and it is my opinion that if she continues on this what I categorize as a corrupt path, she needs to be recalled.  In my opinion she has demonstrated in no uncertain terms that she is unwilling to listen to her constituents, and of which, I am one of many military people/families that she is going to really harm, simply due to her blind ambition and dedication to the corruption of the left. Her position is simple, she thinks that it is imperative that our taxes be raised.  Not only yours and mine, but corporate taxes.  The Left is trying to demonize Corporate America by getting all the leftist idiots all riled up, believing the palaver propaganda crap.  Everyone must remember one very basic fact about corporate America, in actuality, corporations for the most part do not pay taxes,……the taxes are built into the cost of the product or service they provide, so therefore, WE PAY THE TAXES….  So, lets go ahead and raise taxes on these companies, just so we can pay a higher price for their product….. HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOO………..Sounds like a good idea to me……NOT!    This Dem Rx for this deficit problem is simply to tax more so they can spend more and more and more and more…..you get the idea.  It is the old democrat “tax and spend” BS all over again.  I thank God that the GOP is holding firm on this issue because they know that the system is broke, in more ways that one and raising taxes on the citizenry at this time is really wrong-headed and will hurt whatever economic recovery we may be able to get going.  Don’t be confused by the recent news that a balanced budget amendment was voted down by the evil GOP for no real good reason.  There was a good reason for it; There was language in that piece of legislation that would have put in place a mechanism that Congress would have used in the future to go back to business as usual (tax and spend) with a new provision that would have made it real easy for Congress to raise taxes and point to the Amendment, explaining that they are compelled to by this very amendment.  Kind of sick huh?  THAT is why it did not pass.  Thank God for that.  The Dems are quick to point the finger at the GOP, but in all truthfulness, it is them who are trying to destroy your standard of living.  And one last point, if I may….  I am sick and tired of reading articles that use the word “democratic” when the proper usage should be “democrat”.  The two are not synonymous.  “Democratic” to me means a form of governance, “Democrat” is the name of a political party.  In my opinion, the Democrat party is in no way shape or form democratic.  All they want to do is gather as much power as they can so they can dictate to you, how to live your life.  Does that sound “democratic” to you?

GERMANS TRYING TO KILL OFF THE POUND?

Did anyone else see the break-up of the EU coming other than me?  I hope so because this un-holy union was doomed to failure right from the git-go.  There was a reason why the UK did not convert over to the Euro and we are seeing it right now.  The English learned a huge lesson during WWII and were very smart to avoid the calamity that is going to befall the rest of the EU.  I have lived in the UK and I have been to Germany and central Europe.  With the diverse history of all these EU countries and the “Stiff upper lip” mentality of the Brits, they were very wise to opt out of most of the EU crap.  While the UK enjoyed the free trade that was enabled by the EU, the rest of the countries in the EU lost their way and in my opinion, a lot of their national identity because every country was brought down to the lowest common denominator, except Britain.  I predicted that the Euro was doomed and those countries that adopted it as their currency were headed for trouble and it looks like that is coming to pass. With Germany taking the lead on the EU, many of those mindful of history remember the German of old, pre-WWI and pre-WWII.  In both instances Germany got delusions of grandeur and decided to conquer the world, and twice, the world fought back and beat them in two calamitous wars.  It is this memory that to this day frightens people who see an emerging, powerful Germany.  Is history about to repeat itself in Europe?  I hope not…….

It looks like the Australian government has turned to the dark side and passed draconian legislation that will throw untold numbers of Aussies out of work.  And to top it off, the government has forbidden all businesses to blame the carbon tax as the cause of the price increases.  This is a horrible development out of what I thought was more of a democratic  government, however private ownership of guns was outlawed int hat country not too long ago also.  It is an absolute travesty that the Aussie government bought into the carbon taxing scam.  Buying into the scam is one thing but the draconian decree that the new tax cannot be blamed for high prices is another.  I am afraid that this development is not going to sit well with the citizenry there in any way shape or form.  I predict that there is going to be some severe backlash on this and some politicians are going to find themselves out of a job.  I am saddened that Australia has turned so far left.  Sad, to say the least……..

I am reading increasing reports that the Dems are going to force the GOP to blink first, knuckle under and allow higher tax rates. This would be a bad move for the GOP. The GOP is not winning the PR campaign at all and that in itself is shameful.  The GOP is allowing the Dems to lie and bad mouth the GOP to the public and the GOP’ers just sit on their hands and allow it.  It’s no wonder the Dems are winning in the court of public opinion.  The GOP needs to get out front and tell the American Public what exactly they are doing to remedy the budget problems.  All we hear is that the GOP is the party of NO and are obstructionists. We Conservatives sent you and the other GOP Freshmen to DC to make sure the Dems do not get a free reign on this issue.  The GOP must hold the line against higher taxes and gutting the military.  I have a prediction; If the GOP does not hold the line, those that “blink” will be sent packing come their next election cycle.  I’m pretty sure about this one.  I urge you to do everything you can to prop-up your fellow GOPers and make sure they hold the line.  Do not allow the GOP to be brow-beaten into submission when the voters want them to save this nation, not be part of the problem.  The Speaker must not cave and he must hold the rest of the GOP in the House accountable. I do not write my Senators anymore because they do not listen and are not respondent to the conservative constituents.  I hope the GOP does not go down the same path.

Getting our economy moving again is the best way to balance our budget and the way the federal government helps is to create an environment where jobs can grow.  Fair taxation, modest regulation and less government spending create that environment.  Raising taxes in the middle of a recession will harm job growth and ensure more family providers, recent graduates and near-retirees remain jobless.  Over 50 percent of “$250,000 and above” who are looked at for increased tax rates are small business owners and investors. Attempts to tax the rich are often misaligned, because what it ends up doing is hitting our small business owners – the mom and pop shops.

For example, the common misconception is that higher tax brackets only affect wealthy individuals.  But the higher tax brackets also include “pass through entities”.  Small businesses must be part of the debate on tax reform – the majority of them do not pay corporate taxes, but they pay taxes on their firm’s “pass through” income on their individual return.  “Pass-through” entities are businesses whose taxes are passed through to the owners, who report the income or loss on their own personal income tax returns.

When more people are working, they are paying more in taxes, which will reduce the federal deficit.  Creating private sector – not government sector – jobs is one of my top priorities, and keeping taxes low to help employers create them is a great start.  Government should let entrepreneurs and investors do what they do best and grow businesses.  This is a terrible time to raise taxes on job-creators.

(UPDATED 111711) OBAMA’S BLM IS GOING TO CUT YOUR ACCESS TO PUBLIC LANDS FOR SHOOTING AND HUNTING

As I have been reporting since I started this website, the Lib/Progressives are hell-bent on doing everything they can to restrict your gun rights in one way or another.  In this case, through regulations, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will severely restrict access to public land for the purpose of any shooting activity, to include hunting.  In the proposed regulation, this paragraph is the Coup de grâce to the shooting public; ”When the authorized officer determines that a site or area on BLM-managed lands used on a regular basis for recreational shooting is creating public disturbance, or is creating risk to other persons on public lands; is contributing to the defacement, removal or destruction of natural features, native plants, cultural resources, historic structures or government and/or private property; is facilitating or creating a condition of littering, refuse accumulation and abandoned personal property is violating existing use restrictions, closure and restriction orders, or supplementary rules notices, and reasonable attempts to reduce or eliminate the violations by the BLM have been unsuccessful, the authorized officer will close the affected area to recreational shooting.”  In reading this, it is very evident that whomever authored it was trying very hard to tie up every situation they could think of that could be used as justification to shut down recreational shooting or even hunting.  At this point, I don’t have any information that would indicate what type of violations these would be, if any.  But be warned, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Feds didn’t make it at least a class c felony, which in turn would make you a felon and take away your gun rights.  Remember, these people are after you and your guns.  They will take and make every advantage they can.   The National Wildlife Foundation, Cabela’s and the Wildlife and Hunting Heritage Conservation Council are trying to fight this issue but so far it has not received much attention.  Click HERE for their paper on this.

OBAMA NOMINATING PEOPLE WHO AGREE THAT THE ANSWER TO ALL OUR ILLS IS MORE GOVERNMENT

Does this come as any surprise to anyone who should be paying attention?  No….  As demonstrated in this nomination, obama is as committed as ever at destroying the medical care industry in the United States, replacing it with a system that is inadequate and is designed to dictate to you and your Dr., what kind of care you may have.  This is one of the bureaucrat who would be making those types of decisions.  This impending Supreme Court review of “ObamaCare” could prove to be one of the most important decision the HIgh COurt has had placed before them.  With the consequences to the nation being potentially dire, this decision will most likely determine which social direction the United States will go.  To say I am concerned is an understatement.  I wouldn’t be quite so concerned if we didn’t have a Justice on the Court that was so obviously biased in favor of ObamaCare.  That person is Justice Kagan.  She was involved in this legislation op to her neck and that is why Obama nominated her to the Supreme Court.  She is there to help get this Obamination through the court and give it a thumbs up.  So with that being said, I am pretty confident that the Left is going to fight tooth and nail to keep her from recusing herself from the case, even though the law requires it.  I am not optimistic.  The left has and will stoop to anything to press their agenda.  It is the Supreme Courts job to insure the Constitution and Bill of Rights are not abused.  I am not overly optimistic that this Court has the wherewithal or desire to do so anymore.  I have little faith at this point.  I hope I am proven wrong……

As the weeks go by and the budget debate deepens, it was inevitable that both parties were going to dig in their heels and stand their ground.  I don’t know what anybody else expected but I knew this was going to happen.  My concern was and is, who is going to blink first in this political game of chicken?  I have let it be known to all my Representatives that I expect them to hold form and make the Dems blink first, but as this report hints, the GOP may be the first to flinch, and that is just plain wrong!  As I have been explaining to people, the only way the Conservative Majority is going to win, is to ALWAYS make the Liberal/Progressives blink first, in ALL instances.  That is what is needed to stop these people’s evil agenda.  However, I am afraid that the career GOP Politicians have not caught on to the fact that politics as usual is a dead and dying institution.  These people have not come to grips with the new realities that they are being forced to deal with.  And those new realities include us being on them like white on rice every step of the way.  With all the resources we have on the internet, these “Old Guard” politicians must come to grips with the fact that they cannot break wind in DC without us knowing about it.  The failure on their part to “get in line” will inevitably lead to their departure from congress, post-haste…..  Never before in the history of the United States, have the politicians been under such intense scrutiny and incessant contact with those they represent.  Just ask my Reps, I’m sure they would agree because of all the letters I write regarding their current actions in DC.  I am sure they are sick of me, and that’s great because I know then that they hear me.  And they should hear from you too.  LIke never before, they need to hear from their constituents, and regularly.  If you don’t, they will think you agree with them.  If you don’t agree, MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM!  Otherwise you are going to get the government you deserve….for not taking your civil responsibilities seriously…….. It IS your choice.  Ultimately, everyone must understand one very fundamental fact about this issue and many more Liberal agenda items,…  This is not about Republican vs Democrat, Left vs Right.  It IS about right vs wrong.  It is that simple.  Those who are on the liberal agenda side, are on the wrong side of history and the wrong side of democracy.  Being a Democrat has nothing to do with being “democratic”.  It has everything to do with them telling YOU how to live and governing every aspect of your life, to their satisfaction, not yours!

Like the headline says, we are headed into the 2011 Christianity bashing season.  Coming to a store near you, are the phrases, “Holiday Tree”, “Happy Holidays”, “Holiday Greetings”, “Seasons Greetings”, “Holiday Cheer”, well, you get the idea…  Because of what is going on in our nation now, the OWN protests and the other groups who feel emboldened because of our apparent un-Christianity supporting president (lower case intentional), these minority groups feel they can dictate to the majority, and are……  As long as the Oval Office does not support Christianity, the Christian majority and the holidays we celebrate will continue to be attacked and diminished.  As a Christian I find this wholly offensive.  But I guess that fact doesn’t matter because it is okay to disrespect and bash Christians, at least that’s what the Government seems to think.  Well, that may be true but there are some things I can do at my lowly level to fight back that could have a profound effect towards reversing this well established trend.  And that would be, only do business with companies that support Christmas by allowing their employees to say “Merry Christmas” and use pro-Christianity advertising and signage.  If all us Christians unite in this simple cause, Corporate America will get the message “loud and clear” when they see their bottom line, or lack there-of………..

“BUBBA” CLINTON THINKS PRESIDENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO SERVE THREE TERMS

Spoken like a true Progressive.  His argument is that people live longer and people are still capable of serving effectively at older ages.  Yea, right,…..especially if there are Progressives huh?  This is a classic example as to the mentality of these democRATS.  Never mind the fact that there is a very good reason for the 22nd Amendment.  When you boil it all down, the main reason was to put in place a roadblock so Presidents would not be elected for that office for life.  FDR served 4 terms but that was because of WWII and conventional wisdom dictates that you don’t change horses in mid-stream and changing Presidents in a time of war might not be such a good idea.  I can agree with that rational.  However, we must not ever lose sight of the simple fact that the longer people hold a position or office, the more deeply entrenched that become and are able to set up little “regimes” so to speak.  A very dangerous situation when that person does not have the Nation, liberty and the Republics best interests at heart.  That is how dictatorships are born and democracy dies……….

LEON PANETTA SAYS BENEFITS FOR MILITARY RETIREES MAY BE CUT AND IS “ON THE TABLE”

IS LEON PANETTA A TRAITOR TO THE VERY MILITARY MEMBERS HE COMMANDS INCLUDING THE RETIREES?

My letter to Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler on this subject:

In a recent article I read on “The New York Times” website, it recounted recent statements being made by Leon Panetta that a reduction of retired military benefits will be on the table and out of pocket increases will be incurred by us retired military people.   I have written you on several occasions expressing my concerns regarding Tri-Care and the possibility that the budget will be balanced on the backs of the Vets and Military Retirees.  You have replied to my concerns stating that you will resist all efforts to further erode the retirement benefits that I worked over 20 years to get, that, by the way, was promised to me all those years ago.  In the years since my initial enlistment, which was in 1975, I have bared witness to the steady reneging on the Governments part, of the retirement benefits of those serving this nation.  You as a Representative of Congress, and as a body, must never lose sight of the fact that each and every man and woman who served and are currently serving in the military are volunteers.  They/we have volunteered to defend this great land, with our lives if need be, in order to preserve the American way of life.  That act alone, is worthy of honor AND backing and support of the very government we defend.  It is my sincere prediction that if Congress once again, turns its back on the military members and further erodes the promised benefits of those who serve, you will see a steady, unrelenting decline in the numbers of people who will be willing to “volunteer” and stand up for this once great nation.  I dare say, Congress is not contemplating a reduction in their retirement benefits, are they?  Are you?  You have to serve a much shorter time to get your benefits that I had to, yet you are fully vested after 5 years and will retirement with full benefits.  I am unable to find any information regarding the medical benefits that are afforded you and others in Congress. I am troubled by that fact.  The lack of information on this subject is troubling at best.  Could you enlighten me and explain/outline the medical benefits afforded both serving and retired members of Congress?  My readers have the right to know what we tax payers are paying for, especially when it involves the pay and benefits of those we choose to send to Washington DC.  Bluntly stated, I will accept a reduction in benefits when Congress does the same.

In closing, I continue to urge both you and the rest of the Conservatives in Congress to strongly resist any further changes in the military benefits that would either lessen services or cause an increase in “out-of-pocket” expenses of the retirees or any other class of military vets.  It is immoral for a nation to punish the very people whom you rely on to protect this great country.  When I signed my contract with The United States of America, way back in 1975, the government promised me certain things if I kept up my end of the bargain.  Well, I did, will the USA do the same and keep its end of the bargain?  So far, it hasn’t.  It is up to you to restore what is rightfully ours.  The next election cycle is just around the corner for you and your re-election is not guaranteed.  I sent you to DC for a reason and that was to stand up for me and be my voice along with the other thousands of Vets who rely on your support.  I am expecting you and your like-minded Conservatives to do just that.  Do not “cave” into those who wish to further erode the militaries pay and benefits just to make a “deal” and make political points by trying to look like you’re being ‘bi-partisan”.  You are our shoulder to the dike, holding back the tide.  Stay the fight, make those who wish to do us vets harm, blink first.

ERIC HOLDER STILL AT REFORMING GUN LAWS……

Here’s the situation as I see it; Eric Holder and his group actively send guns into Mexico and then blame John Q. Public for it and then use that premise to push for new gun laws…..Hmmm, anybody else see anything wrong with this?  This is the type of back door dirty dealings that I expect from the Left, but to hear some members of the GOP say that they will delve into this after their “Fast and Furious” investigation is over is alarming.  That is why we all must NEVER turn our back on ANY Politician, Left or Right.  None can be trusted and we all need to run rough-shod” over each and every one of them to keep them in line.
