ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY, WE HONOR THOSE WHO MADE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE AND ANSWERED THE CALL. It is the soldier……

IT IS BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO SERVE, WE HAVE OUR FREEDOM.

This to me, is a most hallowed day.  As a Vet, I am acutely aware of the sacrifices our brave men and women in uniform make and are called upon to do as a matter of “duty” each and every day.  Click the pic for a great video of Gene Simmons (Yes, of KISS) at a GI Concert.  It really doesn’t get any better!

It’s the soldier, not the reporter who has given us
Freedom of the Press.
It’s the soldier, not the poet, who has given us
Freedom of Speech.
It’s the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the
Freedom to Demonstrate.
It’s the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the
Right to a Fair Trial.
It’s the soldier who salutes the flag, serves under the flag and
whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

It’s entertainers like Gene Simmons and Ted Nugent showing their appreciation for all that our Armed Forces sacrifice, that really helps keep the moral up when times get tuff. Seeing this much energy at a concert amongst the Armed forces sure helps one think that maybe all is still not lost even when things are beginning to look so bleak for America. Obviously our Military has a different mind set right now fighting in a different country for people they have never met up until a few months or years ago, giving up life, limb and health, most of them thinking of just protecting their families at home, all the while we have all this corruption and disrespect going on in our own government from the Commander in Chief on down.
Honoring our fallen Heroes is the least we can do for them. We need to keep fighting for what they have given their lives for and not let these American hating Socialist, Marxist and Communist run our Country.
I will pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
