The Obama EPA is after your guns again.  This time via the ammunition.  The EPA is looking into banning lead bullets.  I don’t have to illustrate how that ruling would devastate the shooting sports.  Here is a sample letter that was sent to me and I made a little change to it.  Please write or call your Elected officials or this Obama useful idiot that is in charge of the EPA and tell them what you think of the issue.  Here is the info;

Steps to take:

Lisa P. Jackson
Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
1200 Pennsylvania Ave., NW
Washington, DC 20460
(202) 564-4700
Fax: (202) 501-1450
Email: jackson.lisa@epa.gov

3. Contact your congressman and senators and urge them to stop the EPA from banning ammunition.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is considering banning all traditional ammunition — ammunition containing lead-core components. This is something that would affect all hunters, target shooters and law enforcement.

A petition filed with the EPA by several agenda-driven groups including the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD), erroneously claims that the use of traditional ammunition poses a danger to (1) wildlife, in particular raptors such as bald eagles, that may feed on entrails or unrecovered game left in the field and (2) that there is a human health risk from consuming game harvested using traditional ammunition. Also falsely alleged in the petition is that the use of traditional ammunition by hunters is inconsistent with the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976, Congress expressly exempted ammunition from being regulated as a “toxic substance.”

As your constituent, I am urging you to do whatever you can to stop the EPA, which has no jurisdiction over such matters, from banning our ammunition. Please consider the following points:

There is no scientific evidence that the use of traditional ammunition is having an adverse impact on wildlife populations.

Wildlife management is the proper jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and the 50 state wildlife agencies.

A 2008 study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on blood lead levels of North Dakota hunters confirmed that consuming game harvested with traditional ammunition does not pose a human health risk.

A ban on traditional ammunition would have a negative impact on wildlife conservation. The federal excise tax that manufacturers pay on the sale of the ammunition (11 percent) is a primary source of wildlife conservation funding. The bald eagle’s recovery, considered to be a great conservation success story, was made possible and funded by hunters using traditional ammunition – the very ammunition organizations like the CBD are now demonizing.

Recent statistics from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service show that from 1981 to 2006 the number of breeding pairs of bald eagles in the United States increased 724 percent. And much like the bald eagle, raptor populations throughout the United States are soaring.

Thank you for your time. I will be watching your actions on this matter closely because your support of this EPA action would signal a return to the gun ban mentality that caused the huge Democrat Congressional defeat in 1994.

This Lisa P. Jackson is bad medicine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rb37Vr3uCI She’s on Obama’s Posse List and wants to indoctrinate our children at schools, impose higher environmental regulation and taxes on small businesses. Now she’s involved with gun control? I’ll tell you, our government wants to outlaw all weapons in America and they will use any means possible to do it, Second Amendment or not, they don’t care. This is un-constitutional and one of the stupidest things I’ve seen. So what are we supposed to do, go around and pick up all the pieces of lead that have come from every shot ever fired all the way back to before the civil war? What about all the lead weight’s that have flown off our wheels and how about all the lead weights that have been lost from aggressive fish and tangled fishing lines and what about all the lead that’s lost from sharpening our pencils? I’ll tell you, this government is grasping at every opportunity to regulate every thing. I would suspect the Obama’s new “National Ocean Council” will play some part of gun control along with our new Obama Health Care. Don’t be surprised if some day we find out President Obama has signed an Executive Order to ban and confiscate all weapons at gunpoint. This Muslim we have sitting in the White House is out to ruin us.
