I have purposely waited a few days to weigh in on this subject simply to see what explanations have been tossed out in an effort to understand what this object was, seemingly coming out of the ocean west of LA. I have heard everything from commercial jet to private citizen experiment to an actual unknown missile launch. Being an Air Force Vet and knowing what I know about the federal/military systems that we have in place for this very purpose, to detect and analyze any unknowns entering our airspace, when you consider NORAD with all its capabilities, coupled with the FAA system, I can deduce that the military knows exactly what “it” was and is not saying….. If they don’t know, they are incompetent and the system doesn’t work. If this is the case, we have a serious problem with our national defenses. One way or the other, we’re not being told the truth….
UPDATED 111910 GLEN BECK HAS THIS RIGHT
In my career, I was stationed at a base that was just south of the Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral. Over the years there, I witnessed many missile launches, both day and night, and I have also observed all manner of jets at high, medium and low altitudes as they traverse through the TCA’s. In my opinion, from what video and pictures I have seen, this anomaly is nothing like what I have observed from commercial jets, even coming from over the horizon. The contrail emitted from even 4 engine jets is much less dense, smaller, and dissipates very differently from what is demonstrated in the pictures. The contrail from the mystery object is exactly what I have witnessed from all the missile launches I have seen. I have seen Delta and Titan launches and I think that this object was in fact a missile of some sort. I’m just sayin’………….
THIS JUST IN! 1852HRS
If this is true, this is an unprecedented, IN YOUR FACE provocation, a shot across the bow of the USA and cannot be allowed to stand. Our Government MUST file an immediate complaint and take all necessary actions to include sanctions against China. China thinks they own us. I guess we’ll find out now if they do. This is going to get ugly. …………
In my attempts to gather more information on this issue, I came across a post that cited a Notice to Mariners dated 6 November 2010, page 55;

I checked the long/Lats indicated and what I found was quite interesting. So, please correct me if I am wrong but, what the hell does these long/lats have to do with a suspected missile launch off the coast of California/LA, unless these are impact points? Here is the raw data I came up with. Judge for yourself…….
