OUR BELOVED CLEO – 1997 – 2010

We lost our beloved “Cleo” to kidney failure last night at 2:30 am.  We were at her side, comforting her to the end.  About a month ago, we took her in to have a couple of teeth removed.  Little did we know, this would be the result.  She was 14 years old.  We are childless, so she was like a child to us.  It hurts terribly.  She is missed……

For Firefox users, I made a “Persona” called “Cleopatra” if you’re so inclined…..

Thank you for your kind words. She was the best ever and she is sorely missed. We tried for over a month to save her. Medications, and I had to do a nightly sub q ringers lactate infusion to keep her kidneys flushing out. It’s amazing what you can do if you have to. To say I was uncomfortable doing that is an understatement, but I knew it helped. I put 2 full bags through her before the end. We know that she is out of pain and in a far, far better place, but the heart still aches and the tears still flow. I know time will heal all wounds, but scars are always left as reminders. In this case, this “scar” is a good one that I cherish. Thank you again.
