ONCE AGAIN SENATOR MARIA CANTWELL (D) WA. STATE SENDS BACK A REPLY THAT IS OFF THE MARK

CANTWELL MUST GO! SHE IS BAD FOR WASHINGTON AND SHE IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND SHE IS BAD FOR DEMOCRACY!

CANTWELL MUST GO! SHE IS BAD FOR WASHINGTON AND SHE IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND SHE IS BAD FOR DEMOCRACY!

I wrote her a letter explaining my concerns about cutting military spending:

FURTHER CUTS TO MILITARY PAY AND BENEFITS

I am disheartened to learn that the Obama Administration is looking to make deeper cuts into the pay and benefits of current military and retired military personnel. I am always appalled at the fact that the military people are always the first people congress goes after when cutting budgets. It is as if Congress has little or no empathy for the very people who put their lives on the line every day to make this the greatest country on the planet. It is as if they are looked upon as nothing but “cannon-fodder” to use and abuse at will, at the whim of Congress when it is “convenient” to do so, apparently not caring about these people and families who sacrificed so much. It is as though now that there is a consorted, intentional effort to completely dismantle not only the structure of the military, but the notion of honor that goes along with it. With the constant misuse and abuse of the military people by the Federal Government, the notion of serving in the military to serve our nation is being severely negatively impacted. You have to ask yourself, if you were a young person thinking about serving, “What is the benefit to me if I join the military”? In the past, in my era, there was a sense of honor, knowing that America stood for justice and peace, and also knowing that if you stuck with it, there would be a reward at the end, a brass ring, if you like, in the form of the benefits that military retirement brings. Take away all that, and what do you have left..? Answer, very little. Take away the pride and nobility, the barely equitable pay for volunteering to serve, and the retirement benefits, especially the medical, and you have little or no incentive left. If the people see that the Federal Government is NOT going to treat you well in the military, why join? So, with that being said, how is the military going to be able to recruit enough volunteers for service? The short answer is; they’re not. So, unless that is the plan so conscription can be reinstituted, it’s not a good idea to keep punishing the military every time there is a budget shortfall, especially when there are thousands other areas in the government that can and should be trimmed.
With all this being said, I must remind you that your election cycles will be very difficult and contentious should you decide to slight the military any further. While your cycle is not due for several years, you can bet that your party as a whole will suffer a huge loss at the polls should the Democrat Party continue to punish the military people. We are watching your votes in the House and Senate and we are watching the committee actions. Do not fool yourself, WE ARE WATCHING AND WE WILL VOTE ACCORDINGLY. You have to ask yourself; “How many military, active duty, retired and vets do I have in my State or district?” I’ll be there is a bunch..

Here is her reply I got today:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about military spending. I appreciate hearing from you on this important matter, and sincerely regret the delayed response.

On March 4, 2014, President Barack Obama submitted his fiscal year 2015 budget request to Congress. This proposed budget would provide $494.6 billion to the U.S. Department of Defense for fiscal year 2015, which is about $31 billion less than last year’s requested amount. The request seeks to reduce the number of active-duty soldiers serving in the U.S. Army from 510,000 to about 450,000 by fiscal year 2019, and the number of National Guard and Reserve service members from 831,000 to 798,000. This budget would also increase TRICARE deductibles and copays in an effort to restructure and reduce the cost of military benefits.

I have concerns about the proposed cuts and increases in health care costs. I look forward to learning more about the Department of Defense’s budget proposal and its potential impact on Washington state’s military community. After a decade of war, I know that long and frequent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have greatly strained our state’s military families. Please be assured that I will keep your concerns in mind as the budget process continues this year.

I am profoundly grateful for the service of America’s service members and for the sacrifices they have made to defend and preserve our great nation. I will continue to work to ensure that the brave men and women of our armed forces have the essential tools and resources they need to accomplish their mission on behalf of the people of the United States. I know this is particularly important in our state, which is home to the tenth largest military population in the country. As such, we have an important responsibility to ensure that our service members and their families are provided the benefits and assistance that they so greatly deserve.

Thank you again for contacting me to share your thoughts on this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
Maria Cantwell
United States Senator

This reply is a non reply and she goes on to further explain that they are going to raise my out of pocket health insurance costs.  Is this the kind of Senator we should re-elect or should the State of Washington recall her?  ALL her replies to me are like this and I am sick and tired of it.

PATTY MURRAY (D) WA and MARIA CANTWELL (D) WA STAB THE MILITARY RETIREES IN THE BACK – MILITARY RETIREES WITH TRICARE PRIME WILL LOSE THEIR HEALTH PLAN 1 APRIL 2013

LIARS ALL, HARRY REID IS A HUGE DISGRACE TOO

Funny how this information didn’t hit the news until AFTER the election, and the idiots in Washington State re-elected Maria Cantwell to the Senate.  Every time we military turn around, our elected officials stab us in the back and eliminate or reduce the benefits we worked 20+ years to get.  In this case, us military retirees who have TriCare Prime as our health coverage will lose our Prime plan as of 1 April and will be forced onto TriCare Standard with much higher rates.  This is because they are reducing the “Prime” coverage areas so if you live 40+ miles away from a military medical facility you are no longer eligible for this plan.  This effects over 171,000 retirees like myself who are outside the 40 mile limit.  Come to find out, this plan was hatched by Congress a long time ago.  This is especially egregious because of the committees Patty Murray serves on, as listed here.  She does not advocate for the Vets at all and is a disgrace to her office and her constituents.  Click the links below and get the data.  Once again the military gets shafted.  How disgraceful is it when a government says to the vets face how much they are appreciated and whose benefits should be protected, then turns around behind their back and disrespects them in private and steals their hard-earned benefits, one by one by one?  IN the past I was always an advocate for some young man or woman joining the military and serve this great country, but at this point, I no longer believe that at all.  The United States does not deserve the caliber of young Americans we have today, given that they will be used as cannon-fodder in some bullshit meaningless war someplace then, if they live through it, have their benefits stolen by the corrupt politicians in DC in the name of balancing the budget.  Balancing the budget on the backs of the GI’s is not going to help the deficit at all.  All they are doing is destroying a once mighty military, and country along with it.  To all who voted for this idiot in the WH, YOU GET THE GOVERNMENT YOU DESERVE, I HOPE YOU ALL LOSE YOUR JOBS AND GO BANKRUPT, LOSE YOUR HOMES AND EVERYTHING YOU OWN!  I for one knew better, unfortunately because of your idiocy, you will take all of us down with you……..  The “Great Experiment” is over, thanks to you.  Click here to see some of the money Cantwell has taken from tribal gaming casino’s.  WOW

Subject: UN MONITORING VOTING

It is being reported that representatives from the UN (United Nations) are going to be monitoring voting/polling locations through-out the country and I would like to know if any are going to be monitoring our vote by mail process here in Washington State?  If so, the citizens of this state have a right to know if this in fact is going to happen.  Please reply as soon as possible as we are only 15 days out from the election date.

 Thank You

Good evening,

I checked with our co-directors of elections and they have not heard of any international representatives coming to Washington State to monitor our elections processes.  That being said, however, it is not uncommon for international representatives to visit American states to observe elections, with the purpose of learning techniques that may be beneficial to emerging new democracies.

Best wishes to you,

YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS VOTED TO HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TRACK YOUR KIDS HEALTH AND SOCIAL PROGRESS

IS THIS THE TYPE OF FILE YOU WANT THE FEDS TO HAVE ON YOUR CHILD? (hypothetical example)

In the 2009 Stimulus Bill, there are provisions that allows the Federal Government the authority to maintain a file on your kids progress as they grow up and YOU can’t do a thing about it.  If this is not enough to indicate that this government is totally out of control and operating outside the confines and boundaries of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, then, well, I am out of words…….  Read this story and contact your Representatives and give them a piece of your mind.  I heard that Montana is mounting a recall movement to remove the Senators who voted in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011 (NDAA).  Because the Washington State Constitution allows recall also,  I think the Citizens of Washington State should do the same, including all the rest who vote in favor of unconstitutional acts like this.  We citizens need to send a message loud and clear to these power hungry elitist.  We own this country, not them!  Click the pic for the story.

LETTER TO REP PAUL HARRIS (WA-17TH DISTRICT) REGARDING HR 2044

REP. PAUL HARRIS (R-WA 17th DIST) CLICK FOR HIS WEB SITE

He sent me a “Legislative update” and I felt compelled to reply:

This is my rebuttal to your Legislative update:

I did not see any references to HR 2044 in this update.  Why are you allowing this bill to languish int he legislature when if passed, would bring the following as outlined by the financial notes:  $3.0 million (2%) will be split equally (for fiscal note purposes) between Lottery Commission and Gambling Commission for expenses. Each Commission would be responsible to cover any additional expenses.

$755 thousand (0.5%) for problem gambling, $7.55 million (5.0%) to local governments (to be distributed proportionally to those local governments in which a house-banked card room is located, based on the total net win attributable to any card room within the

local government’s boundaries). Lottery assumes that if the card room is within a city, the local government proceeds will go to the city. If the card room is in an un-incorporated area, the local government proceeds will go to the county. The remaining amounts will be distributed as follows: $69.8 million (50%) to K-12 Education, $41.9 million (30%) for health and human services programs, and $27.9 million (20%) for public safety programs.  So, as you can see, the financial benefits gained by the passage of these Bills are enormous.  Why aren’t you pushing this Bill?  This moneys would go a long way in reducing and in some cases, alleviating the financial crunch in many state agencies.  Your non-support of this HR will not go un-noticed by the citizens of this state.  Should this HR and its accompanying Senate Bill 5918 not be passed, we voters will know without a shadow of a doubt that you are more willing to cut state vital services and raise taxes, than do the right thing and bring this legislation into fruition, saving services and not burdening the citizenry with more taxes.  If passed, the states expense on implementation of this legislation would be minimal, but could provide a couple more people with jobs within the WSGC as the only function the state would have would be one of oversight.  A few more Agents may me employed to inspect the gaming facilities, that’s it.  So as you can see, this is a win-win for the state.  You need to do the right thing and push this legislation for passage.

REP HARRIS REPLY:

Thank you for your email in response to my legislative update.  I completely agree with you on the importance of HB 2044, concerning equity and fairness through the creation and regulation of electronic scratch ticket machines for nontribal gambling establishments. I am pushing for this bill, however we choose to focus the subject of this last update as a recap of the special session.  I am glad you show strong interest in this bill, because as you noted this will have a significant impact fiscally for the State.  I will have more updates in the future and will be sure to talk about HB 2044, but rest assured I am VERY supportive of the bill.

Again, thank you for your email.  If my office can be of any service, please feel free to contact us in the future.

WASHINGTON STATE GOVERNOR PROPOSES A TEMPORARY INCREASE IN SALES TAXES IN ORDER TO EASE THE BUDGET CRUNCH…..What about HR2044?

Tim Probst, Wa 17th Dist.

As this letter to my State Rep. Tim Probst (D) indicates, pushing new taxes on the citizens of this state is obscene especially when legislation such as HR 2044 is sitting on the table up there in the Washington State Legislature in Olympia.  If you are a Washingtonian, please feel free to copy, and paste this letter and sent it to your Rep in Oly.

My Letter to Tim Probst;

I am writing you to let you know my feelings on the temporary sales tax increase being proposed by the Governor.  To articulate my feeling very succinctly, you need to know that I find it especially egregious that the only solution the Democrats can come up with to help solve our state budgetary problems is to raise taxes.  I say this knowingly full well that there are better ways of raising revenue and lowering the state deficit than taxing the people of this state when they can ill afford any more money out of their already strained budgets.  I find it especially obscene when there is legislation sitting on the table there in the Legislature that would go a long ways in reducing the deficit and that is HR 2044. If you have examined the fiscal notes on this HR, you should have been able to see the huge amount of revenue this HR would provide to the state, yet it sits on the table, simply because of protectionist politics.  I am extremely saddened and disappointed knowing that the Democrats are putting party politics and personal ambitions ahead of doing what is right for the state.  We citizens that your party wants to tax to death, are also voters and we are very well informed. We are watching every move our State and Federal Representatives make and we watch and track the voting record of each and every one.  I can assure you, this situation of which I write, is right on top of my watch-list and I doubt that I am the only one watching.  I can assure you that if the Governor gets a wink and a nod from the Legislature on this, those people will be putting their political career in peril and in-turn will be challenged come their next election cycle.  I am urging you to do the right thing for the state and get this HR moving.  Protecting the Tribal Indian casinos will not be tolerated and you will lose my support at the polls if you do so.  In fact I will work tirelessly for your opponent in the race for the seat you now occupy.

THIS IS WHAT WAS SENT TO THE GOP LEGISLATORS OF THE 17th DISTRICT – DON BENTON, PAUL HARRIS

SHOULD WASHINGTONIANS RECALL SENATOR PATTY MURRAY?

PATTY MURRAY - SHE DOES NOT DESERVE RE-ELECTION... RECALL? Hmmmm

This is a classic example why Senator Patty Murray (D-Wa) and for that matter Senator Maria Cantwell must be shown the door come their next election cycles.  Cantwell in ’12 and unfortunately Murray in ’16.  This article articulates pretty well I think, of her inability to get out of the Democrat party line and agenda and do what is truly right for the country, rather than her party.  In all the replies I have gotten from both of these people on the various issues, I have NEVER gotten anything that even remotely hinted at compromise or deviation from the Democrat party line and agenda.  As demonstrated by all my letters posted in this forum, she fails to directly address any of my specified concerns.  She is totally consumed by her passion to push the corrupt Democrat/Liberal/Progressive agenda, regardless of the horrible consequences the nation and you and me will suffer. After all, she votes with the Dem party 91% of the time and most often in agreement with Al Franken. Al Frankin?!?!  What?!  This guy is a corrupt hack at best and she agrees with him?!?  WOW!!  Plus, I find her actions especially repugnant and egregious knowing that she is on the Committee on the Budget, Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Appropriations Committee: Within the Appropriations Committee, Senator Murray is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies.   Murray also serves on the following subcommittees; Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee, Defense Subcommittee, Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee and the Homeland Security Subcommittee, plus she is on the “Super Committee” that is responsible for coming up with the “magic bullet” that will fix the budget deficit.  It is especially scary for us vets because as I indicated in letters to her that she is in a prime position to protect the benefits that us vets and retirees sacrificed so long for, but conversely, she is in a prime position to really screw us.  And unfortunately I am afraid that the latter, not the former, will be the case.  She has not been bold enough to indicate to me, or I dare say, any either vet or retiree, that she will do every thing she can to protect us.  She is sickeningly quiet on the issue.  That is not a good sign and it is my opinion that if she continues on this what I categorize as a corrupt path, she needs to be recalled.  In my opinion she has demonstrated in no uncertain terms that she is unwilling to listen to her constituents, and of which, I am one of many military people/families that she is going to really harm, simply due to her blind ambition and dedication to the corruption of the left. Her position is simple, she thinks that it is imperative that our taxes be raised.  Not only yours and mine, but corporate taxes.  The Left is trying to demonize Corporate America by getting all the leftist idiots all riled up, believing the palaver propaganda crap.  Everyone must remember one very basic fact about corporate America, in actuality, corporations for the most part do not pay taxes,……the taxes are built into the cost of the product or service they provide, so therefore, WE PAY THE TAXES….  So, lets go ahead and raise taxes on these companies, just so we can pay a higher price for their product….. HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOO………..Sounds like a good idea to me……NOT!    This Dem Rx for this deficit problem is simply to tax more so they can spend more and more and more and more…..you get the idea.  It is the old democrat “tax and spend” BS all over again.  I thank God that the GOP is holding firm on this issue because they know that the system is broke, in more ways that one and raising taxes on the citizenry at this time is really wrong-headed and will hurt whatever economic recovery we may be able to get going.  Don’t be confused by the recent news that a balanced budget amendment was voted down by the evil GOP for no real good reason.  There was a good reason for it; There was language in that piece of legislation that would have put in place a mechanism that Congress would have used in the future to go back to business as usual (tax and spend) with a new provision that would have made it real easy for Congress to raise taxes and point to the Amendment, explaining that they are compelled to by this very amendment.  Kind of sick huh?  THAT is why it did not pass.  Thank God for that.  The Dems are quick to point the finger at the GOP, but in all truthfulness, it is them who are trying to destroy your standard of living.  And one last point, if I may….  I am sick and tired of reading articles that use the word “democratic” when the proper usage should be “democrat”.  The two are not synonymous.  “Democratic” to me means a form of governance, “Democrat” is the name of a political party.  In my opinion, the Democrat party is in no way shape or form democratic.  All they want to do is gather as much power as they can so they can dictate to you, how to live your life.  Does that sound “democratic” to you?

(UPDATED 102711) LETTER TO MY WA. STATE REPS BENTON, HARRIS AND PROBST REGARDING HR 2044

WHY SHOULD THE WASHINGTON STATE TRIBES HAVE A MONOPOLY ON SLOTS AND WHY IS GOVERNOR GREGOIRE PROTECTING THEM?

Before you and the rest of the Washington State Legislature think about raising taxes and cutting services, you need to pass HR2044.  I know how much money this HR would bring into the state coffers and your action or inaction on this Bill will prove to your constituency whether you are serious about reducing the deficit, or just punishing your constituents with your shortsightedness on this issue by raising taxes and cutting essential services.  If you do not act to get this Bill passed, you will not have my support during your next election cycle.

UPDATE 102711

REPLY FROM REPRESENTATIVE  TIM PROBST:

Thank you for taking the time to send me this note.

HB 2044 was introduced in the 2011 session, and would allow electronic scratch ticket machines in nontribal gambling establishments.  It was introduced very late in the legislative session, and did not move out of the State Government & Tribal Affairs Committee.

I do not have a problem with this bill — I think that it would be perfectly fine to allow these machines in nontribal gambling establishments.  However, I do not sit on any of the committees that this bill will go through, and so I will not have a hand in the process unless and until the bill reaches the House floor.  In the event that the bill does reach the floor in 2012, I will keep your thoughts in mind as I vote.

You can track the bill’s progress here: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?bill=2044&year=2011.

Thanks again for your note; please keep in touch.  As you know, our nation is in its worst economic emergency since the Great Depression.  We all need to look out for one another during these tough economic times.  Please do whatever you can to look out for your neighbors, and please feel free to contact me anytime.

SENATOR PATTY MURRAY TO RAISE WASHINGTONIANS TAXES

SENATOR PATTY MURRAY (D-WA) THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SENATOR MUST GO. WHY DID SHE WIN HER LAST ELECTION?

Grassfire Nation Update:

The Dirty Debt Deal “Super Committee” has not even officially convened, yet these elite members are already angling to use
their super-legislative powers to RAISE YOUR TAXES. In a high-profile Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal, three Democratic members of the Super Committee (Sens. Baucus, Murray and Kerry) sent a very strong and clear signal that they will be pressing for tax increases to be included in the Super Committee’s conclusions. They called for a “balanced plan” that involves “shared sacrifices” — both code phrases for TAX INCREASES that come straight out of the Obama-Big Government playbook. Meanwhile, House GOP leaders are also issuing the GOP version of TAX INCREASE CODE WORDS…

Boehner and Cantor are now talking openly that they support “tax reforms” that make the tax code “more fair by closing loopholes.” (Read: “tax increases.”) And this entire process of debt reduction (and tax increases) is being controlled by a 12-member super-empowered Super Committee that is at best a legislative mockery and at worst unconstitutional!

+ + Petitions Needed For Delivery To The Super Committee

THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL SUPER COMMITTEE  EFFECTIVELY TIES THE HANDS OF YOUR SENATORS AND REP (unless they happen to be one of the “Chosen 12”) AND REMOVES THEM FROM THE REAL WORK OF CUTTING WASTE OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT!  That’s why tens of thousands of citizens have already signed the PETITION OPPOSING THE DEBT DEAL SUPER COMMITTEE.  Petitions will be delivered directly to the Super Committee. If you oppose this unconstitutional Super Committee and want to be included in this delivery, go here to sign:  http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=49267&RID=32300085

Again, members of the Super Committee are already preparing the ground for TAX INCREASES. If we remain silent, we will
effectively submit the power to raise our taxes to SEVEN members of Congress.

Thank you for taking action.

WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE PASSES HB 1087 “MAKING 2011-2013 OPERATING APPROPRIATIONS” BILL

WA. STATE LEGISLATURE "STICKS IT TO" THE CITIZENS IN FAVOR OF THE TRIBES

The Wa. State Legislature (BOTH GOP AND DEMS) has passed HR 1087, Making 2011-2013 Operating Appropriations“.   In doing so, they put aside HR 2044 which would have ended the Tribal monopoly on slot machines in Wa. State.  By doing so, it is as plain as the nose on your face, the Legislature (and Governor) are protecting the tribes interests.  By doing so, they turned their nose up at an estimated $1,906,204,486, yes, that is billions of dollars in increased state revenues from 2011 thru 2017, that would have been generated by the 35% tax on the slot proceeds.  The favoritism, nepotism and just plain preferential treatment being displayed by these politicians is appalling.  This “cronyism” must not be allowed to go un-noticed.  By doing this, the Legislature has also cut the amount of revenues each city where the private casinos are in, will get.  In this economic environment I can see more lay-offs coming down the pike.  To say I am ashamed of the Wa. State Legislature is an extraordinary understatement.  So, what do we do now?  Well, every time there is some sort of pullback on ANY state or  local service or there are layoffs, I urge all to call your District Representatives and give them an earful.  To put it very succinctly, these people put the tribes above the citizens of this state.  I for one cannot condone that in any way, shape, or form.  This “dirty politics/business as usual” attitude is what has gotten us in this terrible economic condition we find ourselves in now.  The politicians must be held accountable.  Especially those beholding to the tribes, like the Governor….. I don’t understand how they can turn their nose up at that much money,……..unless there is an agenda……somewhere……..Hmmmmmm

(UPDATED 051511-053111) MY LETTER/s TO GOVERNOR GREGOIRE (WA) REGARDING THE HB 2044 AND ACCOMPANYING SENATE BILL 5918, GAMING EQUITY AND FAIRNESS ACT OF 2011

LIBERAL DEMOCRAT GOV. GREGIORE (WA)

In reviewing HB 2044 and accompanying Senate Bill 5918, Gaming Equity And Fairness Act Of 2011, this seems to be a “no-brainer”.  The Fiscal notes outlines the huge economic benefits the State of Washington would reap upon the passage of these 2 Joint Bills at a most opportune time when Washington State is experiencing a severe fiscal shortfall.  The passage of these Bills would enable the state to collect fees from what I call, “a voluntary tax”.  Those who do not wish to pay the tax, do not play.  Those that do, play.  There is no impact to the citizenry as the state is doing nothing but providing the citizens of Washington what they want,  an end to the “Slot Machine” monopoly by the various tribes within the State of Washington.  After these Bill are passed by both Houses of the Washington Legislature, It will come to your desk for signature.  I urge you to approve these new laws and allow the 60+ Card Rooms within the state who meet the criteria outlined in the legislation, to provide Slot Machine gaming to the citizenry and the at-large gaming community of the state.  simply because the revenues gained by this legislation is earmarked as indicated in the Fiscal Notes as follows;  $3.0 million (2%) will be split equally (for fiscal note purposes) between Lottery Commission and Gambling Commission for expenses.

The remaining amounts will be distributed as follows: $69.8 million (50%) to K-12 Education, $41.9 million (30%) for health and human services programs, and

$27.9 million (20%) for public safety programs.  So, as you can see, the financial benefits gained by the passage of these Bills are enormous, and obversely,  the risks are minuscule or very small at the worst.  Your failure to sign this legislation will send a loud and clear, definitive signal and message to the voters of this state that you really do not have the States best interest at heart, and are simply working towards some sort of personal, more important (to you) agenda.  I am watching these Bills very closely and I am tracking your actions. Your failure to sign these Bills will result in you loosing my support and vote during your next election cycle.

I am writing to you in order to express my thoughts on HB 2044 and the accompanying Senate Bill 5918.  As you very well know, the Washington State Indian Tribes have held a monopoly on “Slot Machine” gaming in this state since they were allowed to build casinos in this state.  In that time, the state has enjoyed the huge amounts of revenue generated by these casinos in the form of fees and taxes that are collected from each establishments.  As you also are well aware, Washington State is now suffering from a revenue shortfall, amounting in the billions, that if left unaddressed, has the potential of forcing the State to severely curtail, if not completely eliminate some very important social service programs.  To make matters worst, the citizens of this state have made it known, in no uncertain terms, that any and all new taxes will be resoundingly rejected.  If this shortfall is not addressed in a manner that is palatable to the citizenry, the shortfall will have a huge, harmful effect on the very people who depend on them the most.  At best, effects would range from serious to catastrophic at the worst.  Your apparent unwillingness to support these two Bills, that by design are meant to help fill these shortfalls and provide additional funding, is appalling and untenable.  In my opinion, the only rational reason why you do not support these Bills, must have something to do with protecting the tribes for some unknown reason.  This in my opinion is unconscionable.  If this is true, your act of protecting the tribes’ monopoly on these machines, directly puts the citizens of Washington welfare on the line and in jeopardy.  I am sure that this simple and immutable fact will not go un-noticed by the voters of this state, who by the way, have recently helped usher in a predominance of Republican State Legislature Representatives throughout Washington State.  The only hold the Democrat party still enjoys, is in the remaining districts in the state that are along the northern portion of the I-5 corridor.  You must remember and never lose sight of the fact that those citizens also are in need of the very social programs you are putting in direct jeopardy by your actions, and I am sure, come the next election cycle, more Democrat Representatives will lose their seats, and the Democrat strangle hold on this state will cease, or at the very least, severely diminished simply because of the apparent unwillingness of the Democrats to put the needs of the people, before special, unethical interests and the groups that fund them.  So you can see, it really doesn’t matter whether you are going to run for re-election or not.  We voters are aware of your intent and it will be “The Voters”  who turn this state around and once again make the state government accountable and equitable to ALL its citizens, not just a select few special interest groups.   My self and my readers look forward to your response as I publish a popular Conservative blog, dedicated to citizen participation in our government, both at the State and Federal levels.  As with all the letters I write to my representatives, I post all, verbatim, along with the replies I get back.  This in-turn allows the Representatives to speak directly to a larger, more diverse audience, than if I withheld these same responses.  We look forward to your explanation you offer, outlining  your position on these two very important and not least of which, much needed and timely, forms of new state revenues.

WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES ADVISES SENIORS OF THIER PRIVACY RIGHTS

This agency will share your confidential information whether you want them to or not......

The reason I am posting this is due to the fact that in reading this notification you will notice several “loop-holes” that this agency can and will use in order to justify the “legal” sharing of the seniors private confidential health information.  I have highlighted the statements in this document that raise my eyebrows.  I call on all to be wary of these tactics and contact your Representatives and give them an ear-full of your opinion on this.  The “sharing” of confidential information without your express opinion is outrageous and should not be allowed in any instance/s that is not related to any investigation of a criminal nature.  These Brown-shirted bureaucrats must be thrown out on their arses, along with any politician who agrees with these policies.  Click these links for the documents. TELL THE WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE TO END THE TRIBAL CASINO SLOT MACHINE MONOPOLY

We need your help immediately!!! Please read the email below and let your legislators know we need them to support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  Please contact your district legislators as well as the 18th district legislators letting them know that you work in their district and you need them to support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918. If you live and work in district 18 be sure you tell them that.

END THE TRIBAL CASINO MONOPOLY ON THESE MACHINES! CONTACT YOUR REPS NOW!

Electronic Gaming for House-Banked Card Rooms

WE’RE GOING ALL IN … Here’s how to get in the game and back the strongest hand our industry has ever had!

The Recreational Gaming Association and its members have been working hard for months to make the strongest case ever for authorizing electronic machine games in house banked card rooms.

Now, we’re dealing you in!

Two identical bills have been introduced in the State Legislature: House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  Briefly, here is what these bills do:

· Allows the same machines that tribes offer in non-tribal house banked card rooms

· Limits them to existing house-banked card rooms. 200 machines per location. 7,875 machines total. Future venues must have been in operation 5 years.

· State takes 35% of net win, returns 65% to card rooms as agent compensation.

· State shares 5% with local governments, distributes the remainder to Education, Human Services, Public Safety. 0.5% goes to problem gambling programs.

RGA has launched a media blitz, and there is a lot of “buzz” in Olympia about our proposal. Now, to keep one or both of these bills moving through the legislature, we need your help!

Here’s our Call to Action: Here’s what you must do:

•   Contact your legislators. Click on the link to find your legislators, and send them an e-mail. The site tells you how.

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/Default.aspx

Call the Legislative Hotline at 1-800-562-6000 and follow the instructions.

Our MESSAGE to Legislators is simple:

“Please support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918 .Electronic gaming in house-banked card rooms will bring $190milion a year or more to state and local treasuries. It saves and creates jobs. It helps sustain local programs and services.  It’s the fair thing to do by ending the tribal monopoly on electronic gaming.”

• Send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, or comment on a blog. A contact list with direct links to blog and newspaper opinion pages is attached to this e-mail.  Letters should be done by e-mail. Just follow the simple instructions for submittal provided by each publication.

Keep the letters short. Keep them direct with these key points in your own words:

• It’s about revenues for needed state and local services. Electronic gaming in house-banked card rooms can bring $190 million a year or more to state and local treasuries.

• It’s about jobs and local economies. Card rooms have provided nearly 10,000 well-paying jobs—about the same number as the Boeing Plant in Renton. Our taxes help fund critical local programs and services, and our businesses have proven themselves to be valued community partners.

• It’s about fairness and equity. The tribes pay no taxes on their more than $1.7 billion annual gaming revenue. We do. Yet we’re not allowed to offer our patrons the games they want. It’s time to end the tribal monopoly on gaming.

• These bills deserve a fair hearing and serious consideration. The numbers are real, and, unlike some budget proposals, they are sustainable. This proposal limits the footprint of non-tribal electronic gaming, and limits the number of machines. A recent poll shows that voters support this approach by more than 62%.

MY LETTER TO  MY REPS:

I am writing you asking you to vote in favor of House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  These Bills will give the State of Washington untold millions in increased revenues exactly when the State needs them the most.  Passage of these Bills will allow the State to continue to provide the essential services so many of us Washingtonians rely on.  It has been my position that the Tribal casino’s have had an unfair advantage over the private card room establishments.  Passage of these bills will not only level the playing field, but will undoubtedly allow these establishments to hire more employees, thus putting more people back to work when they need it most.  It is also my position that the argument that allowing these machines into these smaller establishments will increase the numbers of those who are struggling with gambling addiction issues, is unmerited and will ultimately be proven false.  These people are already going to the Tribal Casino’s and this change will have no effect on the situation as a whole.  Once again, I urge you to vote in favor of these Bills.  It is vital to the growth of our local economy and a no vote by you, will weigh heavily at your next election cycle.

WASHINGTON STATE PATROL ON A FISHING EXPIDITION – WHO OWNS AR-15s?

WASHINGTON STATE PATROL LOOKING FOR YOUR AR-15?

Please Contact Your Legislators Today!

The National Rifle Association has learned that the Washington State Patrol (WSP) has sent a letter, apparently to every firearms dealer in the state of Washington, as part of an investigation into “a missing/stolen AR-15.”  The WSP has requested an incredible amount of information regarding dealer’s sales and acquisitions of AR-15’s and lower receivers over the last nine months.  They want names, dates of births, addresses and more… from the past nine months!  A statewide search through a mountain of information for ONE missing/stolen AR-15?

It seems preposterous to the NRA that the WSP would conceivably request this massive amount of sensitive data, in a search for ONE AR-15!  It is the NRA’s view that there must be more to this story, a lot more.  The NRA has placed two phone calls into the WSP today in search of clarifying information but has yet to receive any response on the matter.  The NRA has also followed up with a letter of inquiry which notes that dealers are under no obligation to comply with the request.

We will keep our members apprised of any information that is forthcoming from the WSP.  In the meantime, NRA suggests that you contact your State Legislators and let them know about this far-reaching and overly-broad request of firearm dealers by the state law enforcement agency.  Ask your legislators to contact the WSP in an effort to find out what is going on in this case.  You may contact your state Representative or state Senator by clicking here

. If you don’t know who your elected officials are you may look them up here

.

Also, please contact Governor Chris Gregoire, let her know about the requests currently being asked of Washington’s firearms dealers by the WSP and urge her to find out what is going on in this case. You can contact the Governor by clicking here

VANCOUVER WA. CITY COUNCILWOMAN JEANNE HARRIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL BEHAVIOR

This is how this idiot acts with a minuscule bit of authority?!?!?  Imagine what she would be like if she wielded real power?  The citizens of Vancouver Washington should demand her recall, removal or whatever it takes to get her off the City Council.  She is a disgrace and the City Council as a whole acts in a very arrogant manner and needs a wake-up call….

MY LETTER TO MAYOR LEAVITT, VANCOUVER MAYOR

I have just viewed the video of the Vancouver City Council meeting in which Council Woman Jeanne Harris apparently lost all sence of professionalism and decorum and acted in a very disrespectful manner towards the many citizens who were attempting to give testimony.  I was struck by the level of, or should I say the lack there of, respect she displayed towards the citizens of Vancouver, and I must say, I was disappointed in your behavior as well.  The citizens of Vancouver just put you in office, hoping that you would lend a higher level of decency, understanding and co-operation with the public than in the past administration.  I was totally disappointed in your behavior at this meeting as you continually allowed Council Woman Harris to browbeat the speakers and talk to them in the most discourteous, disrespectful manner.  As the Mayor, you have a responsibility to maintain civility in that meeting and you failed.  You allowed Harris to continue her belligerent behavior at the expense of those who put you in office.  That is intolerable and disgraceful.  While I cannot vote in Vancouver elections, I know many who do who also have the same opinion I do.  It is most likely, you will not get their votes come your next election unless you take steps to ensure that this conduct and contempt is never again displayed to the voting public.  Did the voters make a bad decision last election?  Maybe…..

“A PITCHFORK MOMENT” HOW WASHINGTON STATE CAN RID ITSELF OF THE “TAX AND SPEND” POLITICIANS

WASHINGTON STATE LIBS IN THE LEGISLATURE AND SENATE MUST GO. CLICK THE PIC FOR THE STORY

I think this article in Red State pretty much says it all for us Washingtonians.  The “Tax and Spend” Democrats that infests our State Government must be ousted in favor of those who truly are committed to fiscal responsibility and balancing the state books.  The current crowd in power has tried, and gotten away with some pretty outrageous acts.  Lets do a little recap…..  The State Legislature passed new taxes on, of all things, soda pop and bottled water AND they tried and “end run” on the second by trying to enact new draconian gun laws, AND Governor Gregoire, at the swipe of a pen, raised Washington State gas taxes by 9.5 cents per gallon.  She also proposed a State Income Tax IN ADDITION TO the State Sales Tax.  She is clearly part of the larger problem here in Washington State, as are the Senators who’s records indicate that they vote always in favor of the Progressive, liberal, socialistic, tax and spend agenda.  Click the pic for the story.
