ONCE AGAIN SENATOR MARIA CANTWELL (D) WA. STATE SENDS BACK A REPLY THAT IS OFF THE MARK

CANTWELL MUST GO! SHE IS BAD FOR WASHINGTON AND SHE IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND SHE IS BAD FOR DEMOCRACY!

CANTWELL MUST GO! SHE IS BAD FOR WASHINGTON AND SHE IS BAD FOR AMERICA AND SHE IS BAD FOR DEMOCRACY!

I wrote her a letter explaining my concerns about cutting military spending:

FURTHER CUTS TO MILITARY PAY AND BENEFITS

I am disheartened to learn that the Obama Administration is looking to make deeper cuts into the pay and benefits of current military and retired military personnel. I am always appalled at the fact that the military people are always the first people congress goes after when cutting budgets. It is as if Congress has little or no empathy for the very people who put their lives on the line every day to make this the greatest country on the planet. It is as if they are looked upon as nothing but “cannon-fodder” to use and abuse at will, at the whim of Congress when it is “convenient” to do so, apparently not caring about these people and families who sacrificed so much. It is as though now that there is a consorted, intentional effort to completely dismantle not only the structure of the military, but the notion of honor that goes along with it. With the constant misuse and abuse of the military people by the Federal Government, the notion of serving in the military to serve our nation is being severely negatively impacted. You have to ask yourself, if you were a young person thinking about serving, “What is the benefit to me if I join the military”? In the past, in my era, there was a sense of honor, knowing that America stood for justice and peace, and also knowing that if you stuck with it, there would be a reward at the end, a brass ring, if you like, in the form of the benefits that military retirement brings. Take away all that, and what do you have left..? Answer, very little. Take away the pride and nobility, the barely equitable pay for volunteering to serve, and the retirement benefits, especially the medical, and you have little or no incentive left. If the people see that the Federal Government is NOT going to treat you well in the military, why join? So, with that being said, how is the military going to be able to recruit enough volunteers for service? The short answer is; they’re not. So, unless that is the plan so conscription can be reinstituted, it’s not a good idea to keep punishing the military every time there is a budget shortfall, especially when there are thousands other areas in the government that can and should be trimmed.
With all this being said, I must remind you that your election cycles will be very difficult and contentious should you decide to slight the military any further. While your cycle is not due for several years, you can bet that your party as a whole will suffer a huge loss at the polls should the Democrat Party continue to punish the military people. We are watching your votes in the House and Senate and we are watching the committee actions. Do not fool yourself, WE ARE WATCHING AND WE WILL VOTE ACCORDINGLY. You have to ask yourself; “How many military, active duty, retired and vets do I have in my State or district?” I’ll be there is a bunch..

Here is her reply I got today:

Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about military spending. I appreciate hearing from you on this important matter, and sincerely regret the delayed response.

On March 4, 2014, President Barack Obama submitted his fiscal year 2015 budget request to Congress. This proposed budget would provide $494.6 billion to the U.S. Department of Defense for fiscal year 2015, which is about $31 billion less than last year’s requested amount. The request seeks to reduce the number of active-duty soldiers serving in the U.S. Army from 510,000 to about 450,000 by fiscal year 2019, and the number of National Guard and Reserve service members from 831,000 to 798,000. This budget would also increase TRICARE deductibles and copays in an effort to restructure and reduce the cost of military benefits.

I have concerns about the proposed cuts and increases in health care costs. I look forward to learning more about the Department of Defense’s budget proposal and its potential impact on Washington state’s military community. After a decade of war, I know that long and frequent deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have greatly strained our state’s military families. Please be assured that I will keep your concerns in mind as the budget process continues this year.

I am profoundly grateful for the service of America’s service members and for the sacrifices they have made to defend and preserve our great nation. I will continue to work to ensure that the brave men and women of our armed forces have the essential tools and resources they need to accomplish their mission on behalf of the people of the United States. I know this is particularly important in our state, which is home to the tenth largest military population in the country. As such, we have an important responsibility to ensure that our service members and their families are provided the benefits and assistance that they so greatly deserve.

Thank you again for contacting me to share your thoughts on this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
Maria Cantwell
United States Senator

This reply is a non reply and she goes on to further explain that they are going to raise my out of pocket health insurance costs.  Is this the kind of Senator we should re-elect or should the State of Washington recall her?  ALL her replies to me are like this and I am sick and tired of it.

SHOULD WASHINGTONIANS RECALL SENATOR PATTY MURRAY?

PATTY MURRAY - SHE DOES NOT DESERVE RE-ELECTION... RECALL? Hmmmm

This is a classic example why Senator Patty Murray (D-Wa) and for that matter Senator Maria Cantwell must be shown the door come their next election cycles.  Cantwell in ’12 and unfortunately Murray in ’16.  This article articulates pretty well I think, of her inability to get out of the Democrat party line and agenda and do what is truly right for the country, rather than her party.  In all the replies I have gotten from both of these people on the various issues, I have NEVER gotten anything that even remotely hinted at compromise or deviation from the Democrat party line and agenda.  As demonstrated by all my letters posted in this forum, she fails to directly address any of my specified concerns.  She is totally consumed by her passion to push the corrupt Democrat/Liberal/Progressive agenda, regardless of the horrible consequences the nation and you and me will suffer. After all, she votes with the Dem party 91% of the time and most often in agreement with Al Franken. Al Frankin?!?!  What?!  This guy is a corrupt hack at best and she agrees with him?!?  WOW!!  Plus, I find her actions especially repugnant and egregious knowing that she is on the Committee on the Budget, Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Appropriations Committee: Within the Appropriations Committee, Senator Murray is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies.   Murray also serves on the following subcommittees; Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Subcommittee, Defense Subcommittee, Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee and the Homeland Security Subcommittee, plus she is on the “Super Committee” that is responsible for coming up with the “magic bullet” that will fix the budget deficit.  It is especially scary for us vets because as I indicated in letters to her that she is in a prime position to protect the benefits that us vets and retirees sacrificed so long for, but conversely, she is in a prime position to really screw us.  And unfortunately I am afraid that the latter, not the former, will be the case.  She has not been bold enough to indicate to me, or I dare say, any either vet or retiree, that she will do every thing she can to protect us.  She is sickeningly quiet on the issue.  That is not a good sign and it is my opinion that if she continues on this what I categorize as a corrupt path, she needs to be recalled.  In my opinion she has demonstrated in no uncertain terms that she is unwilling to listen to her constituents, and of which, I am one of many military people/families that she is going to really harm, simply due to her blind ambition and dedication to the corruption of the left. Her position is simple, she thinks that it is imperative that our taxes be raised.  Not only yours and mine, but corporate taxes.  The Left is trying to demonize Corporate America by getting all the leftist idiots all riled up, believing the palaver propaganda crap.  Everyone must remember one very basic fact about corporate America, in actuality, corporations for the most part do not pay taxes,……the taxes are built into the cost of the product or service they provide, so therefore, WE PAY THE TAXES….  So, lets go ahead and raise taxes on these companies, just so we can pay a higher price for their product….. HEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOO………..Sounds like a good idea to me……NOT!    This Dem Rx for this deficit problem is simply to tax more so they can spend more and more and more and more…..you get the idea.  It is the old democrat “tax and spend” BS all over again.  I thank God that the GOP is holding firm on this issue because they know that the system is broke, in more ways that one and raising taxes on the citizenry at this time is really wrong-headed and will hurt whatever economic recovery we may be able to get going.  Don’t be confused by the recent news that a balanced budget amendment was voted down by the evil GOP for no real good reason.  There was a good reason for it; There was language in that piece of legislation that would have put in place a mechanism that Congress would have used in the future to go back to business as usual (tax and spend) with a new provision that would have made it real easy for Congress to raise taxes and point to the Amendment, explaining that they are compelled to by this very amendment.  Kind of sick huh?  THAT is why it did not pass.  Thank God for that.  The Dems are quick to point the finger at the GOP, but in all truthfulness, it is them who are trying to destroy your standard of living.  And one last point, if I may….  I am sick and tired of reading articles that use the word “democratic” when the proper usage should be “democrat”.  The two are not synonymous.  “Democratic” to me means a form of governance, “Democrat” is the name of a political party.  In my opinion, the Democrat party is in no way shape or form democratic.  All they want to do is gather as much power as they can so they can dictate to you, how to live your life.  Does that sound “democratic” to you?

SENATOR PATTY MURRAY TO RAISE WASHINGTONIANS TAXES

SENATOR PATTY MURRAY (D-WA) THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A SENATOR MUST GO. WHY DID SHE WIN HER LAST ELECTION?

Grassfire Nation Update:

The Dirty Debt Deal “Super Committee” has not even officially convened, yet these elite members are already angling to use
their super-legislative powers to RAISE YOUR TAXES. In a high-profile Op-Ed in the Wall Street Journal, three Democratic members of the Super Committee (Sens. Baucus, Murray and Kerry) sent a very strong and clear signal that they will be pressing for tax increases to be included in the Super Committee’s conclusions. They called for a “balanced plan” that involves “shared sacrifices” — both code phrases for TAX INCREASES that come straight out of the Obama-Big Government playbook. Meanwhile, House GOP leaders are also issuing the GOP version of TAX INCREASE CODE WORDS…

Boehner and Cantor are now talking openly that they support “tax reforms” that make the tax code “more fair by closing loopholes.” (Read: “tax increases.”) And this entire process of debt reduction (and tax increases) is being controlled by a 12-member super-empowered Super Committee that is at best a legislative mockery and at worst unconstitutional!

+ + Petitions Needed For Delivery To The Super Committee

THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL SUPER COMMITTEE  EFFECTIVELY TIES THE HANDS OF YOUR SENATORS AND REP (unless they happen to be one of the “Chosen 12”) AND REMOVES THEM FROM THE REAL WORK OF CUTTING WASTE OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT!  That’s why tens of thousands of citizens have already signed the PETITION OPPOSING THE DEBT DEAL SUPER COMMITTEE.  Petitions will be delivered directly to the Super Committee. If you oppose this unconstitutional Super Committee and want to be included in this delivery, go here to sign:  http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=49267&RID=32300085

Again, members of the Super Committee are already preparing the ground for TAX INCREASES. If we remain silent, we will
effectively submit the power to raise our taxes to SEVEN members of Congress.

Thank you for taking action.

SENATOR PATTY MURRAY (D-WA) EXPOSES HER ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-NATION FIRST AGENDA.

QUEEN MURRAY

The illustrious Queen Murray has the audacity to send me this information.  This should CLEARLY illustrate how out of touch she really is with reality.  She is nothing more than a puppet of the Democrat Party.  I am sure glad I didn’t send her back to the Senate.  She is a disgrace.   Check out this latest installment in her “evil Conservatives” diatribe…. she has no concept of what it takes to make and keep this nation strong, independent and secure.  She is completely blinded by her party’s agenda, first and foremost.  Did I say she is a disgrace?  Oh yea, I did, well, it’s worth repeating over and over and over and over and over…………

Time for Slogans to End, Work to Begin on Safeguarding Our Economic Future

As we continue to work to forge compromise and avoid a default on our nation’s debts, I was deeply upset that Republicans continued to waste the little time we have left by introducing a plan that balances the budget on the backs of the people who can least afford it.  The clock is ticking for families across America.  It is time for Republicans to step up and join us in the job of governing.   Too much is on the line for average families to allow partisan gridlock in Washington, D.C. to once again endanger the livelihoods of millions.

That is why I gave a speech on the Senate Floor this week urging Republicans to stop playing political games with this country’s economic future.  With less than two weeks to go before the August 2 nd deadline, Democrats and Republicans need to come to the table for serious negotiations that involve shared sacrifices.

Preserving Benefits for Veterans Suffering from Agent Orange Exposure

On Thursday, I helped defeat an amendment introduced by Senator Tom Coburn that would have created a nearly impossible standard for Vietnam Veterans to receive compensation for certain types of exposure to Agent Orange. Before the vote on Coburn’s amendment, I went to the Senate Floor and called out the amendment for what it was: another hurdle Vietnam veterans would have to overcome in their 40 plus year struggle for compensation and care.  The amendment ultimately failed to be included in the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill after I successfully asked that the amendment be tabled – which it was – by a vote of 69-30. Soon after the tabling of the amendment, the Senate passed the Military Constructions and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill which will ensure that veterans across the country get the support they deserve.

Supporting Women’s Health

On Wednesday, the Institute of Medicine released their recommendation that critical preventive health care services for women and girls, including a full range of FDA-approved contraceptive methods, be fully covered by insurance companies at no additional cost.   I believe that implementing these recommendations is the right thing to do and will end unnecessary and burdensome costs for millions of American women who currently struggle to afford the contraceptive coverage and other preventive health care services they need and deserve.

TELL THE WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATURE TO END THE TRIBAL CASINO SLOT MACHINE MONOPOLY

We need your help immediately!!! Please read the email below and let your legislators know we need them to support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  Please contact your district legislators as well as the 18th district legislators letting them know that you work in their district and you need them to support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918. If you live and work in district 18 be sure you tell them that.

END THE TRIBAL CASINO MONOPOLY ON THESE MACHINES! CONTACT YOUR REPS NOW!

Electronic Gaming for House-Banked Card Rooms

WE’RE GOING ALL IN … Here’s how to get in the game and back the strongest hand our industry has ever had!

The Recreational Gaming Association and its members have been working hard for months to make the strongest case ever for authorizing electronic machine games in house banked card rooms.

Now, we’re dealing you in!

Two identical bills have been introduced in the State Legislature: House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  Briefly, here is what these bills do:

· Allows the same machines that tribes offer in non-tribal house banked card rooms

· Limits them to existing house-banked card rooms. 200 machines per location. 7,875 machines total. Future venues must have been in operation 5 years.

· State takes 35% of net win, returns 65% to card rooms as agent compensation.

· State shares 5% with local governments, distributes the remainder to Education, Human Services, Public Safety. 0.5% goes to problem gambling programs.

RGA has launched a media blitz, and there is a lot of “buzz” in Olympia about our proposal. Now, to keep one or both of these bills moving through the legislature, we need your help!

Here’s our Call to Action: Here’s what you must do:

•   Contact your legislators. Click on the link to find your legislators, and send them an e-mail. The site tells you how.

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/Default.aspx

Call the Legislative Hotline at 1-800-562-6000 and follow the instructions.

Our MESSAGE to Legislators is simple:

“Please support House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918 .Electronic gaming in house-banked card rooms will bring $190milion a year or more to state and local treasuries. It saves and creates jobs. It helps sustain local programs and services.  It’s the fair thing to do by ending the tribal monopoly on electronic gaming.”

• Send a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, or comment on a blog. A contact list with direct links to blog and newspaper opinion pages is attached to this e-mail.  Letters should be done by e-mail. Just follow the simple instructions for submittal provided by each publication.

Keep the letters short. Keep them direct with these key points in your own words:

• It’s about revenues for needed state and local services. Electronic gaming in house-banked card rooms can bring $190 million a year or more to state and local treasuries.

• It’s about jobs and local economies. Card rooms have provided nearly 10,000 well-paying jobs—about the same number as the Boeing Plant in Renton. Our taxes help fund critical local programs and services, and our businesses have proven themselves to be valued community partners.

• It’s about fairness and equity. The tribes pay no taxes on their more than $1.7 billion annual gaming revenue. We do. Yet we’re not allowed to offer our patrons the games they want. It’s time to end the tribal monopoly on gaming.

• These bills deserve a fair hearing and serious consideration. The numbers are real, and, unlike some budget proposals, they are sustainable. This proposal limits the footprint of non-tribal electronic gaming, and limits the number of machines. A recent poll shows that voters support this approach by more than 62%.

MY LETTER TO  MY REPS:

I am writing you asking you to vote in favor of House Bill 2044 and Senate Bill 5918.  These Bills will give the State of Washington untold millions in increased revenues exactly when the State needs them the most.  Passage of these Bills will allow the State to continue to provide the essential services so many of us Washingtonians rely on.  It has been my position that the Tribal casino’s have had an unfair advantage over the private card room establishments.  Passage of these bills will not only level the playing field, but will undoubtedly allow these establishments to hire more employees, thus putting more people back to work when they need it most.  It is also my position that the argument that allowing these machines into these smaller establishments will increase the numbers of those who are struggling with gambling addiction issues, is unmerited and will ultimately be proven false.  These people are already going to the Tribal Casino’s and this change will have no effect on the situation as a whole.  Once again, I urge you to vote in favor of these Bills.  It is vital to the growth of our local economy and a no vote by you, will weigh heavily at your next election cycle.

“A PITCHFORK MOMENT” HOW WASHINGTON STATE CAN RID ITSELF OF THE “TAX AND SPEND” POLITICIANS

WASHINGTON STATE LIBS IN THE LEGISLATURE AND SENATE MUST GO. CLICK THE PIC FOR THE STORY

I think this article in Red State pretty much says it all for us Washingtonians.  The “Tax and Spend” Democrats that infests our State Government must be ousted in favor of those who truly are committed to fiscal responsibility and balancing the state books.  The current crowd in power has tried, and gotten away with some pretty outrageous acts.  Lets do a little recap…..  The State Legislature passed new taxes on, of all things, soda pop and bottled water AND they tried and “end run” on the second by trying to enact new draconian gun laws, AND Governor Gregoire, at the swipe of a pen, raised Washington State gas taxes by 9.5 cents per gallon.  She also proposed a State Income Tax IN ADDITION TO the State Sales Tax.  She is clearly part of the larger problem here in Washington State, as are the Senators who’s records indicate that they vote always in favor of the Progressive, liberal, socialistic, tax and spend agenda.  Click the pic for the story.

(UPDATED 083010) SENATOR PATTY MURRAY (D-WA) STEALING THE NOVEMBER MID-TERM ELECTION – – WASHINGTON STATE MILITARY MEMBERS VOTES WILL NOT COUNT THIS NOVEMBER – or will they?

PATTY MURRAY IS STEALING THE WASHINGTON SENATORIAL RACE FROM DINO ROSSI

This doesn’t surprise me a bit because Senator Patty Murray’s re-election bid is going to be close and the Feds know that the preponderance of military votes are conservative so the corrupt Democrats are doing everything they can to void these ballots.  So this means that Patty Murray is trying to steal the election from Dino Rossi.  More dirty tricks from the slimy Libs……….

HR 4173 – SENATORS PATTY MURRAY AND MARIA CANTWELL VOTE IN FAVOR OF THE WALL STREET OVERHAUL BILL (Vote Roll Call included) DOWNLOAD PDFs

TRAITORS TO WASHINGTON STATE CITIZENS

This latest liberal/Marxist/socialist debacle of a Bill passed the Senate today with a 60-38 vote. This Bill has over 2000 pages of regulations that will literally put ACORN and the other activist un-American organizations back to work in the American financial and industrial sectors.  This bill was written by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd so we know it automatically is suspect and should have never been considered.  These two guys are the last people I would trust with anything and needless to say, our Washington State Senators Murray and Cantwell were all for this Bill as stated below:

Final Bill                                              Conference Report

111_hr4173_finsrvcr dodd-frank conference report

——-

(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) voted for the Wall Street Reform legislation that will protect Washington state families, hold Wall Street accountable, and guarantee that Washington state taxpayers will never again be on the hook to bail out Wall Street or clean up after big banks’ messes. The legislation passed today by a vote of 60-39 and is expected to be signed into law by President Obama shortly.

“With this vote today, the era of taxpayer-funded Wall Street bailouts is officially over,” said Senator Patty Murray. “This bill is going to make sure that Washington state families and small business owners are protected from predatory Wall Street tactics. And it will guarantee that American taxpayers will never again be on the hook to bail out the big banks. I was proud to stand up for my state’s families today and against the Wall Street lobbyists and special interests who were fighting so hard to protect big banks and maintain the status quo.”

“Wall Street reform legislation makes a big distinction between Wall Street Mega Banks and Main Street Community Banks. Within the legislation there are positives for Main Street Community banks including asset-based deposit insurance assessments, regulating non-bank financial competitors, deposit insurance limits increased and extending the deposit insurance coverage on non-interest-bearing transaction accounts and ending too big to fail. These enhancements and others will aid community banks in Washington State to continue to support the communities they serve through small business loans and financial services,” said John Collins President of the Community Bankers of Washington state, Washington’s leading association of Community Banks. “By ending ‘too big to fail’ and ensuring that large banks pay for the risks they create to the system this bill takes monumental steps to protect community banks our customers and taxpayers. The Community Bankers of Washington want to particularly commend Senator Murray for the leadership she provided in fighting for provisions that help support community banks and for ensuring that Wall Street’s megabanks pay their fair share for the risks they pose.”

July 14th speech leading up to the vote today 15 July 2010:
“M. President, I have been fighting hard for a Wall Street reform bill that protects my state’s families, holds Wall Street accountable, and includes a guarantee that American taxpayers will never again have to pay to bail out Wall Street or clean up after big banks’ messes.

“And I am proud to say that finally, after months of hard work, we are so close to passing legislation that does exactly this.

“M. President—this should not be a partisan issue. It shouldn’t be about right versus left or Democrats versus Republicans.

“It should be about doing what’s right for families and small business owners in my home state of Washington and across the country.

“It should be about who it is we choose to stand up for—who we think needs our support right now.

“Some people have spent the last few months standing up for Wall Street and big banks: Trying to water down this reform, and fighting every day against any changes that would prevent the big banks from going back to their ‘bonus-as-usual’ mentality.

“But I have been proud to stand with so many others to fight against the Wall Street lobbyists and special interest groups, and for the families I represent in Washington state.

“Families who want us to pass strong reforms that can’t be ignored or sidestepped.

“Who want us to end bailouts and make sure Wall Street is held accountable for cleaning up their own messes.

“And who want us to put in place strong consumer protections to make sure big banks can never again take advantage of our families, students, or seniors.

“Because Mr. President, for most American families this debate isn’t complex—it’s simple.

“It’s not about derivatives or credit default swaps.

“It’s about fundamental fairness. And it’s about making sure we have good, common-sense rules that work for our families and small business owners.

“It’s about the person who walks into a bank to sign up for a mortgage, or applies for a credit card, or starts planning their retirement—
are the rules on their side, or are they with the big banks on Wall Street?

“Because, M. President—for far too long the financial rules of the road have not favored the American people.

“Instead, they’ve favored: Big banks, credit card companies, and Wall Street. And for far too long they’ve abused those rules.

“So M. President, as we approach this vote, I think it is important for all of us to be clear about who it is we are fighting for.

“I am fighting for people like Devin Glaser, a school aide in Seattle who told me he had worked, saved money, and bought a condo before the recession began.

“He told me he put 20% down on a traditional mortgage and was making his payments.

“However, like so many others who have found themselves underemployed as a result of this recession, Devin has been unable to find more than 25 hours of work a week.

“He is now unable to pay his mortgage and is waiting to be foreclosed on any day now.

“I am fighting for people like Rob Hays, a Washington state student whose parents have put retirement on hold and gone back to work in order to send him to school.

“Just a few short years ago Rob’s parents were in the process of selling their home and preparing to retire. But then the foreclosure crisis took hold and they could no longer find a buyer.

“As a result they were forced to pay two mortgages with the money they had saved for Rob’s school—and retirement has been put on hold.

“And I am fighting for people like Jude LaRene a small business owner in Washington state who told me that when the financial crisis hit his line of credit was pulled.

“This forced him to lay off employees, go deep into debt on personal credit cards, and cut back on inventory.

“Despite the fact that his toy stores were more popular than ever!

“President, I am fighting for people like Devin, Rob, and Jude because they are the ones being forced to pay the price for Wall Street’s greed and irresponsibility.

“Whether it was gambling with borrowed money from our pension funds, making bets they could never cover, or peddling mortgages to people they knew could never pay— Wall Street made reckless choices that have devastated so many working families.

“In my home state of Washington, Wall Street’s mistakes cost us over 150,000 jobs.

“They cost the average family thousands of dollars in lost income.

“They cost small businesses the access to credit they need to expand and hire—and in many cases, caused them to close.

“They cost workers the retirement accounts they were counting on to carry them through their golden years. And students the college saving that would help launch their careers.
They cost homeowners the value of their most important financial asset as neighborhoods have been decimated by foreclosures.

“They cost our schoolteachers, our police officers, and our communities. And they cost workers like Devin, students like Rob, and small business owners like Jude.

“Mr. President, we owe it to people like them across the country to reform this system that puts Wall Street before Main Street.

“We owe it to them to put families back in control of their finances.

“We owe it to them to make sure the rules protect families sitting around the dinner table balancing their checkbooks and finding ways to save for the future—not those sitting around the boardroom table finding ways to increase profits at the expense of hard working Americans.

“And to do that, we need to pass this strong Wall Street reform legislation.

“M. President, it is important for families to understand what this bill does—and what exactly opponents of this legislation are fighting against.

“This bill contains explicit language guaranteeing that taxpayers will never again be responsible for bailing out Wall Street.

“It creates a brand new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that will protect consumers from big-bank rip-offs, end unfair fees, curb out-of-control credit card and mortgage rates, and be a new ‘cop on the beat’ to safeguard consumers and protect families.

“It puts in place new protections for small businesses from unfair transaction fees imposed by credit card companies.

“It enforces limitations on excessive compensation for Wall Street executives.

“And it offers new tools to promote financial literacy and make sure families have the knowledge to protect themselves and take personal responsibility for their finances.

“I’ve heard so many stories from people across Washington state who have scrimped and saved, who made the best with what they had, but were still devastated through no fault of their own.

“People who played by the rules but who are now paying the price for those on Wall Street who didn’t.

“These are the people we need to stand up for—the people whose Main Street values I fight for every day.

“So M. President, with all of the new protections and reforms that this bill contains for families and small businesses—I have to ask—Who are the opponents of this bill fighting for? Who are they standing up to protect?

“You know, I grew up working at my Dad’s five and dime store on Main Street in Bothell, Washington. And like so many people across our country, Main Street is where I got my values.

“I was taught that the product of your work wasn’t just about the dollars in the till at the end of the day.

“I learned that a good transaction was one that was good for your business AND the customer.

“That strong customer service and lasting relationships often made your business stronger.

“That personal responsibility meant owning up to your mistakes and making them right.

“And that one business relied on the others on the same street.

“I was taught that customers were not prey and businesses were not predators. And that an honest business was a successful one.

“M. President, it’s time for us to bring those Main Street values back to our financial system.

“To bring back an approach that puts Main Street and families over Wall Street and profits.

“That protects consumers, holds big banks accountable for their actions, and makes sure people like Devin, Rob, and Jude are never again forced to bear the burden for the big banks’ mistakes.

“So I urge my colleagues to stand with me against the status quo, and for this strong Wall Street Reform bill that families and small businesses in Washington state and across the country desperately need.

“Thank you—I yield the floor.”

As usual, this diatribe contains the usual rhetoric, lies and backroom deals.  This exemplifies why she must be defeted in November.  When the full impact of this Bill is realized by the American voters, repeal of this bill will also become another one of our battlecrys for the GOP.  WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!  THIS MADNESS MUST STOP IN NOVEMBER!

Senator Cantwell:
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) praised the Senate passage of the unpressidented financial regulatory reform legislation.  For the first time ever,  it requires oversight and transparency in the over-the-counter derivatives markets that were reported to do so much damage to the U.S. economy. Cantwell cast a pivotal vote in a 60-38 roll-call that ended debate, then voted for final passage, which passed by a vote of 60-39. This vote sends the measure to President Obama for his signature. Just before the final vote, Cantwell spoke on the Senate floor, saying that for the first time ever, the previously dark, unregulated swap markets would now be regulated and brought into the light of day.

Her full remarks follow:

“I thank the Chair (Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-CT) for yielding time and I want to thank him for his diligence, particularly in the area of the derivatives market and the fact that this legislation will be the first time, the first time, the over-the-counter derivatives market in this country will be regulated. The fact that Congress made a mistake and said ‘hands off’ to derivatives in 2000, and then an $80 trillion market exploded into what is today a $600 trillion dollar dark market.  The Chairman has now made sure that for the first time, over-the- counter derivatives will be regulated.

“That means for the first time over-the-counter derivatives will have to be exchange traded, which means there will be transparency.

“It’s the first time over-the-counter derivatives will have to be cleared, which means a third party will have to validate whether there is real money behind these transactions.

“And it is the first time the CFTC will be allowed to say that they will be able to enforce aggregate position limits across all exchanges, which means you can’t hide this dark market derivative money on some exchange that isn’t properly regulated or try to make the market across all exchanges. And it is the first time that things like the London Loophole will be closed so that you can’t have markets and exchanges that aren’t regulated.

“So, to the American people, to know that something as dangerous as credit default swaps brought down our economy, that now, for the first time, we will have regulation of these over-the-counter derivatives, I thank the Chairman for his efforts in that area.  A $600 trillion market, which is greater than 10 times the size of world GDP, is a danger to our economy if it is not regulated.

“Thank God we’re going to be regulating it for the first time. And I would encourage all my colleagues on the other side of the aisle who, at one point in time, said that these are too complicated to understand, understand that they brought down our economy, and understand that we are going to, for the first time, regulate over the counter derivatives.

“I thank the Chair for his leadership.”

Cantwell announced her support for the final version of the financial regulatory reform bill on July 1 because of tough new regulations of derivatives added in final House-Senate negotiations. Cantwell had opposed passage of the Senate version of the bill, citing loopholes in the derivatives title.  Throughout the debate, she tirelessly fought to require transparency in the $600 trillion derivatives market. Cantwell authored an amendment, included in House-Senate conference, to impose tough penalties for evading the clearing and exchange trading requirements for derivatives. Upon completion of the conference version of the bill, Cantwell received written assurance from Gary Gensler, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, that the bill “explicitly requires that swap dealers, major swap participants and financial entities use a clearinghouse for standardized or ‘clearable’ derivatives transactions.” The bill includes a narrowly-crafted exemption that will allow only legitimate commercial end-users – farmers, airlines, and manufacturers – to continue to hedge business risks without being subject to the clearing and exchange trading requirements. Gensler agreed with Cantwell’s interpretation of the bill: that it imposes strong oversight over the vast majority of derivatives trading. Cantwell said she is disappointed the bill does not reinstate the Glass Steagall separation of commercial and investment banking but believes the bill’s unprecedented regulation of the derivatives market squarely addresses the underlying cause of the financial crisis.

Obama has succeeded in walking the Dems off the cliff to oblivion.. Remember, these people VOTED IN FAVOR of your oppression by the EPA!!!  Don’t forget that fact!!!

WASHINGTON STATE LEGISLATORS WHO SIGNED A LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR OBAMA’S HEALTH CARE MAKEOVER PLAN

IS OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM ABOUT TO DIE?

IS OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ABOUT TO DIE?

Below you will find a complete list of Washington State Legislators who signed and sent the below letter to “The ‘Bama” in support of his plan to destroy our medical system.  They all need to be voted out of office as soon as possible.

The Letter:

Dear President Barack Obama, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Members of the 111th US Congress:

As leaders in state legislatures across the country, we urgently call on President Obama and the U.S. Congress to take up and pass comprehensive health care reform in 2009.The serious problems with health care in America ‚ ever-rising costs, limited access, inconsistent quality, and waste and inefficiency ‚ converge in the states. The effects of these problems stress state budgets, exhaust family resources, result in lost worker productivity, stifle entrepreneurial spirit, and literally cause tens of thousands of deaths each year. Our disjointed health care system has formed a choke-hold on our economy, limiting job growth and economic development. We cannot fix the economy without fixing health care.Over the past decade, state legislatures have debated and implemented a myriad of reforms to bring affordability, quality and fairness to health care in America ‚ designing solutions that reflect each state‚ unique economic, social, and geographic features. States play a vital role in the health care for hundreds of millions of Americans, by administering and helping to fund public programs like Medicaid and SCHIP, enacting innovations to expand access to public and private coverage, and serving as watchdogs of health insurance companies and other players. Yet, states cannot achieve guaranteed affordable health care for all without the investment, leadership and partnership of the federal government. Successful reform requires robust federal-state collaboration.  Key priorities for reform are reflected in recent state initiatives and public opinion polls which show that Americans want more choices and options for quality health care. Americans recognize that the private sector alone has proven incapable of creating a high-quality, fair, and accountable health care system that works for all families. Therefore, a key priority for reform is the choice of a public health insurance plan that is available to businesses, individuals, and families. Another key priority is strengthening and expanding the Medicaid program with the help of enhanced federal support so that it can serve all low-income Americans. Related priorities include: guaranteeing affordability for individuals and businesses; preserving consumer choice of doctors; eliminating racial, ethnic, gender, and rural health disparities; ensuring shared responsibility among employers, individuals and government in financing health care; and, cost containment strategies that eliminate waste and inefficiency and improve quality, especially for people with chronic illnesses.  Failure to pass national comprehensive health reform now will further jeopardize state and local budgets, undermining public services like education, public safety, and transportation infrastructure. The recently passed economic recovery package includes a number of positive health care measures, but these do not remove states from the critical list. Achieving a high-performing, affordable and quality health care system for all US residents is central to a sustainable economic recovery and to the health and financial security of all families, businesses, and governments.  We, the undersigned, call on President Obama and the Congress to enact bold and comprehensive health care reform this year ‚based on these principles and a strong federal-state collaboration ‚and pledge our support as state legislators and allies in pursuit of guaranteed, high quality, affordable health care for all.

This letter was developed in consultation with national health care reform advocates, including the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, Community Catalyst, Families USA, Herndon Alliance, National Women’s Law Center, Northeast Action, SEIU, and Universal Health Care Action Network.

GLOBAL WARMING – HEALTHCARE – AND THE CLANDESTINE DEMOCRAT CONGRESS, SENATE AND WHITE HOUSE

When I started this blog, it was with the intent of pushing on as much factual information as I could about our corrupt President, his cronies and others who needed to be exposed.  So, in this past 12+ months, I have dedicated myself to that cause.  I have worked diligently on this endeavor and I think I have done a pretty good job on passing on nothing but the truth about all the players in this sickening game.  When I started, the foremost subject of this blog was Obama.  The true journalists of the world kept me supplied with a plethora of factual, vetted information.  My goal was to get this information out so all could see that this man is nothing more than a charlatan, and to truly find out, a “wolf in sheep’s” clothing at the very least.  My efforts in sending out the warning, like Paul Revere, so to speak, were in vein because I/we could not convince the cool-aid drinkers.  In the end, he was elected to the highest office on the planet, The President of the United States.  Since day one of his inauguration, he has one to work on his agenda of “fundamentally changing America”.  Little did we know that he meant what he said, but I really don’t think many of us expected him to go down this transformational road so fast and with such chaos.   I for one fully expected him to fill his cabinet full of liberals and I wasn’t very surprised that he surrounded himself with people such as Rahm Emanuel with his “pit-bull” mentality and David Axlerod and his cunning, conniving, scheme making capabilities.  This was just to be the tip of the iceberg.  He has since filled every post he can, to include highly influential, far reaching offices and appointments with ultra-liberal, ultra-left, fringe based people.  We have seen this done repeatedly, time and time again.  There seems to be no end to this even in the face of exposure and full out investigations on all these people.  The President has demonstrated time and again that he is not concerned with our perceptions or approval.  He ignores us and presses on with his agenda.  No amount of exposure has slowed him down even when hit with the outrageous truth about these people.  I will not list them because we all know who they are.

In his zeal to get his healthcare agenda passed, he has relied on the liberal Democrats to seemingly commit political suicide.  All through this process, on both sides of Congress, we citizens have been telling them in no uncertain terms that we do not want this legislation in any way shape or form.  We did this in may forms.  We wrote letters, we made phone calls, we sent e-mails, and we went to their so called “Town-Hall” meetings.  If they had and doubts as to our wishes, they were dispelled and clarified at these meetings.  I do not know of any clearer way to get the point across to our Elected Representatives.  We all spoke in both plain and legalese and we all thought they got the message.  It sure seemed like it by the end of the summer break.  But, we were soon to realize our betrayal because as soon as they got back in session, it was back to business as usual and pressing even harder for the healthcare legislation.  We redoubled our efforts, we again expressed our displeasure.  And again, we were ignored.  In the end, the House passed their version, and the Senate did so too, albeit with a lot of vote buying and plain out and out bribery.  In summary, we were again ignored.  But not only were we ignored, all this debate was done literally behind locked/closed doors.  All of this debate was done in secrecy, being deliberately hidden from the American voting public and literally done in the dead of the night when no one is or can watch.  We raised the red flag over that issue and complained to high Heaven, but to no avail.  We are all aware that these actions are not what a Democratic, Representative Government is supposed to be able to do at all.  Yet they did it, and I might add, in an “In Your Face” manner.  The Congress in my opinion is out of control and operating outside its Constitutional boundaries.

Now this brings me to the Global Warming scam.  I was researching this topic long before it became a hot agenda item for the US Government or should I say, the current Marxist Administration?  I have has suspicions from the very beginning about the so called “Global Warming” data.  It seemed to me that it played well to easily into the hands of people, companies or organizations that may use the data to make large sums of money off the scam.  So it was no surprise to me that data to the contrary started to come out indicating that the planet was in fact not warming and that the data was false.  As you can see and read in this blog, I have posted quite a bit of information, from very reputable sources that draw attention to very reliable data to the contrary from the “main-stream” scientific sources.  It was an absolute stroke of luck (I would like to thank God for this) that the subterfuge was uncovered in the UK’s University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit, cooking the books and spewing false, misleading data that they had authored in order to promote the “Green” agenda and make some people very very rich.  We have known for a very long time who or what companies have lined themselves up to be “prepared” for this new “green” revolution.  One on which is our old buddy, Al Gore.  He started some companies that would get large contracts for all sorts of green projects.  There are so many, I will not digress to mention them all.  We know who they are.  There are a lot of other companies who have hooked their wagon to the global warming star.  Some companies are very big and are diversifying, and others are large start-ups and some are small start-ups.  I have some very mixed emotions about this because of how the governments of the world to include the US has gone about this notion of “Green is Good” ideal.  I guess I am conflicted about it because of the blatant attempt at social engineering these governments have and are attempting.  Just like the healthcare debacle, our government has pushed false data, no, lets call it for what it is, it is all a lie.  Plain and simple.  All in the name of greed.  The greed of a few powerful and wealthy people who don’t seem to really give a damn about you, me or our nation as a whole.  The well being of the citizens of this great nation is not a consideration.  Except when it comes to the depths of our pockets.  As long as we knuckle under and allow these tyrants to levy tax after tax, we will never get out of this mess.  The despots in this country are counting on us to just go with the flow and go on about our pointless little lives.  Now don’t get me wrong.  I truly believe that there are some changes that need to be made.  Our dependence on our enemies for our fuel needs has got to stop.  I believe that there are many ways to go about this, one of which is hydrogen fuel development for cars and other uses.  Instead of pouring money down the drain on all pet projects the liberal Dems want, why don’t we take that money and re-invest it in our energy independence research and development?  It just boggles the mind most of the time….

In the past 12+ months, I have endeavored to enlighten all my associates and friends as to the truth of the situation and how conservatives can get us back on track.  I am literally amazed at the level of stupidity, meanness and just plain lack of common sense that is so pervasive just about everywhere you go.  Being retired military, I am used to being in the company of like minded people who truly understand the magnitude of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and how inviolate the language is.  As a member of the military, you take an oath to “Preserve, Protect, and Defend” the tenets contained in these documents.  We take that oath to heart in contrast to so many who now seem to think that the principles in these documents are merely a “suggestion” and not a law of the land.  I can understand this attitude from people who have recently immigrated to America and come from lands where democracies are a rarity if not non-existent.  But, to those who are born American and old enough to know better, I simply cannot and will not understand how they can think that what is going on now in our government is not only ok, but want more of it.  In my opinion, it is simply un-American.  No two ways about it.  To say that what is going on is good is just plain wrong and is a slap in the face of all veterans who have served and died for this country and the Constitution, warts and all.

So here we are.  We have seen so much dirty and illegal politics, I am in overload and as you can tell, I have backed off on my publishing simply because there is so much bad stuff going on, it is tough to handle.  I am now rededicating my efforts on primarily focusing on un-seating Patty Murray, one of our Democrat Senators here in Washington State, who by the way has also walked the Harry Reid plank right off the ship.  I will publish all detrimental, true data I can find and work tirelessly for her opponent to get her out of office.  She has demonstrated that she has turned her back on her Constituents, the Constitution, and her State.  So she must be tossed out of office.  After her, Maria Cantwell is next.  Congressman Brian Baird saw the writing on the wall and has announced his retirement.  That is good because he was on all the radar screens of all us here in Clark County.  Thank God he is gone.

Now to the future and what I require and expect from the conservative candidates for these seats.  First and foremost;

INTEGRITY – I require that these people be transparent in their actions and adhere to conservative values AND The Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.  I require them to be always mindfull of not violating these principles and laws.

NO SPECIAL INTERESTS – Do not allow special interest groups that do not support the Constitution, Bill of Rights and God, to sway the votes.

RESPONSIVE AND ANSWERABLE TO THE CONSTITUENCY:  Unlike the lip service given to us by our current Reps, I demand that these people be responsive and answerable to the people they serve.  They must not harbor any notions that WE work for them.  We all know,… it is the other way around.

We are now stuck with a corrupt government, both Executive and Legislative Branches, the likes this nation has never seen.  It may be the most corrupt and tyrannical ever.  We must change that.  We must all “Get out the vote” come November and put all these devious people out of work and unemployed.  Get to work!!  Don’t let up!
